In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Dear noble brothers, today we explore another of Allah's Most Beautiful Names, and the Name for today is Al-Azeez.
The first meaning of this Name is to be domintent. Hence, true heroism lies in siding with the Most Powerful (i.e., Allah), and the believer derives his strength from putting trust in Allah, relying on Him, and following His Way as the means to gain victory from Allah.
The other meaning of Al-Azeez is the Honorable. To make this meaning clear, in every society, there exists a group of people who are the cream of the crop; they are distinguished by their honor, honesty, generosity, noble origins, abundance, endurance, and forbearance. Those with such traits are the most honorable individuals in society.
Also, Al-Azeez means the powerful.
﴾ When We sent to them two Messengers, they belied them both, so We reinforced them with a third. ﴿
This means Allah strengthened them with a third Messenger. Therefore, if someone is described as Al-Azeez, it signifies that he is powerful, and people tend to love powerful individuals.
Al-Azeez, as one of the Names of Allah, means that everything is in need of Him in all aspects. You have sight with which you see, and it is because of Allah, Who has provided you with this sense, and you hear due to His Favor. You need Allah even for the air you breathe, and if your heart stops beating, your life will come to an end.
