Ramadan Selections 1447H- Lesson11: Who Should the Believer Glorify

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Who should the believer glorify?

Dear brothers, the believer glorifies his Lord, his religion, the Noble Quran and the believers. Those believers are humble pious individuals who glorify everything connected to Allah Almighty.

In fact, you glorify according to what you know, so your glorification of Allah is directly related to how well you know Him.

The profound truth is: Unless you glorify your Lord, you cannot be considered a believer who has the chance of salvation (on the Day of Judgment). Allah says:

﴾ (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him* Then throw him in the blazing Fire* "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!"* Verily, He used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great, ﴿

[ Al-Haqqah, 30-33 ]

Iblis (Satan) believes in Allah of course as The Creator, but he does not believe in Him as the Most Great. Iblis said to Allah, as Allah tells us in Quran:

﴾ …You created me… ﴿

[ Saad, 76 ]

He also said as Allah the Almighty narrates:

﴾ …"My Lord!... ﴿

[ Saad, 79 ]

In another Ayah, he said as Allah the Almighty narrates:

﴾ …"By Your Might… ﴿

[ Saad, 82 ]

He said in the following Ayah as Allah the Almighty narrates:

﴾ …Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." ﴿

[ Saad, 79 ]

Iblis does not believe in Allah out of glorification of Him.

Be aware that every mistake you commit, Allah forbid, every act of obedience you fall short of performing and every good deed you hesitate to do reflect weakness in your glorification of Allah, Exalted and Sublime be He.
