Ramadan Selections 1447H- Lesson 17: Seeking Allah's Help to meet your need:

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Seeking Allah's Help to meet your need:

We need this lecture every day, better yet every hour and every minute.

When you seek Allah's Help to meet your needs, Allah will fulfill them. However, when you rely on yourself, Allah will abandon you.

Who are we to rely on ourselves instead of Allah?

The Noble Prophet PBUH and his companions were the best of mankind. Allah granted them victory in the battle of Badr when they sought His Help. On the other hand, in the battle of Hunian, some of the companions said, "We will not be defeated, because we are great in number." They took pride in their number and strength, and as a result they were defeated.

You need to take this lecture seriously every minute.

I was told about a neurosurgeon who usually prays two Rak'ahs and seek Allah's Help to do the right thing while his patients are on the operating table.

Whether your field is medicine, law, engineering or teaching, when you seek Allah's Help, He grants you help, success, victory, support, prosperity and triumph. In contrast, if you rely on yourself instead of Allah, He will abandon you.

We need this lecture every hour and every minute. We need to keep it in mind for our trade, jobs, travels, other daily activities, raising our children and the way we treat our wives.

When you rely on yourself, Allah will abandon you, but when you rely on Allah, He will take care of you. Therefore, you swing between being left on your own and being cared for by Allah.

In the battle of Badr, Allah took care of the companions of the Prophet PBUH, whereas in the battle of Hunain, Allah abandoned them.

Today, Muslims are left to themselves, because they have fallen into the trap of Shirk by thinking that victory comes through alliances with powerful forces, so they seek their pleasure.

When you pin your hopes on Allah Almighty, you will become the most powerful of all.
