In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord (The One and Only) of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and upon his Noble Folks and Companions,
It was reported in the Islamic tradition:

(( (When a servant turns back to Allah the Almighty in repentance and mends his relationship with Him, a caller calls out among those of the heavens and the earth and says, "Congratulate so and so man, because he reconciled with Allah the Almighty.") ))

[ [Reported in the relic] ]

Accordingly, repentance is returning to Allah the Almighty, reconciling with Him, obeying Him, turning towards Him, seeking His Pleasure, and fearing His Wrath. Moreover, it is a complete return to Allah the Almighty; a return with steadfastness, a return with good deeds, a return with closeness to Him, a return with performing Salah submissively, and a return with establishing a firm connection with Him,  and this last one is indicated in the Hadith:

(( (When a servant turns back to Allah the Almighty in repentance and mends his relationship with Him, a caller calls out among those of the heavens and the earth and says, "Congratulate so and so, because he reconciled with Allah the Almighty.") ))

[ [Reported in the relic] ]

What are the conditions for sincere repentance? Is it remorse? There is a general rule that controls man, and it consists or three main parts: realization, reaction and action. For instance, a person who sees a snake while he is walking in a garden will react in a certain way because he realizes that what he sees is a snake, and its bite is fatal. He knows what a snake means from the images, the pieces of information and the files he has about it in his brain. The reaction of this realization is disturbance which in its turn pushes man to act and do something.

Pay attention to what the Prophet, peace be upon him, said in the following Hadith:

(( (Regretting the wrongdoings and sins committed is repentance) ))

[ [Ahmad and Ibn Majah, on the authority of Abdullah bin Mas'ud] ]

The interpreters of this short Hadith said, "This regret should be preceded by realization (of the committed sins) and should be followed by an action (of quitting those sins). Thus, repentance is a realization, a reaction and an action.
