Ramadan Lectures 1445- Ramadan Notions- Lesson 4: Is Ramadan a Mercy of Countless Mercies from Allah upon us?

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The interviewer:

Dr. Rateb, as we are receiving the first days of the blessed month of Ramadan, I would like to say to you and to all Muslims around the world: May Allah grant you safety every year.

Can we consider the month of Ramadan as a Mercy of countless mercies from Allah upon us?

Dr. Rateb:
Actually, Ramadan is one of the most substantial mercies upon us. It is an exceptional month with a remarkable specialty, namely Taraweeh Salah.

(( He who offers the dawn (Fajr) prayer in congregation will come under the Protection of Allah till sunset ))

Man will taste the sweetness of closeness to Allah, because Fajr prayer is the time of turning to Allah, connecting with Him and receiving His Mercies.

(( Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Were people to know the blessing of pronouncing Adhan and the standing in the first row, they would even draw lots to secure these privileges. And were they to realize the reward of performing Salat early, they would race for it; and were they to know the merits of Salat after nightfall ('Isha') and the dawn (Fajr) Salat, they would come to them even if they had to crawl." ))

[ Al-Bukhari, Muslim and An-Nasa'i ]

(( Abu Hurairah reported Allah's Messenger (PBUH) as saying: Our Lord, the Blessed and the Exalted, descends every night to the lowest heaven when one-third of the latter part of the night is left, and says: Who supplicates Me so that I may answer him? Who asks Me so that I may give to him? Who asks Me forgiveness so that I may forgive him? ))

[ Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, At-Tirmizi and Malik ]

When man firmly establishes a connection with Allah, he is connecting with the Origin of beauty and perfection, with The Divine Character, with The One with The Most Beautiful Names and the Exalted Attributes and with The One in Whose Hand everything is.

﴾ And to Allah belongs the Ghaib (unseen) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad PBUH) and put your trust in Him. And your Lord is not unaware of what you (people) do." ﴿

[ Hud, 123 ]

You will reach everything upon connecting with  Allah the Almighty.

(( O son of Adam, seek Me you find Me, and when you find Me you find everything and when you lose Me you lose everything, and I should be adored by you more than everything. ))
