In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Allah the Almighty says:
﴾ Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.)* Because he considers himself self-sufficient. ﴿
Some rich and powerful people are heedless, as they own hefty money, and thus their orders are obeyed. Those people are privileged with commercial or industrial high status, and some of them work in high offices where they are served coffee, tea, fruit juice, fruits…etc. They do not feel hungry or thirsty at all. All their physical needs are met in the highest standards.
Those people are heedless of the fact that they are servants of Allah, and that they are in need of food and drinks which are usually available to them. Siyaam as an act of worship makes those feel the need of Allah (for their food and drinks).
