Ramadan reflections 1445 H –Lesson 08: Ramadan is the Month of Serenity and Purity.

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

I have a point to make. Sometimes there are problems among relatives that should be left aside in Ramadan. If you argue with your adversary in Ramadan, you will be disturbed, and you will lose the sweetness of drawing close to Allah. If there is a problem between two partners, they better solve it before Ramadan, or postpone discussing it till after Ramadan.

Leave this month for your relation with Allah and for drawing closer to Him. Solve your problems before Ramadan or postpone discussing them till after Ramadan. On the other hand, if a brother cut his ties with his sister, this is considered a major sin, and so he should visit her in Ramadan.

We should begin a new start with relatives in Ramadan, so all problems with them should be solved in Ramadan, and people should make fresh starts with relatives.

Ramadan is the month of worship, so we should not be distracted by arguments with our spouses. Ramadan is the month of purity and worship, so pray with your children and turn your house into a Masjid. Let your sons and daughters pray with you and after you finish Taraweeh, you can open the Noble Quran and interpret one or two Ayaat to your children. It is a 10 minute session.

Again, Ramadan is the month of worship, so recite the Noble Quran after Fajr till the sun rises or do that for 15 minutes or half an hour. Dedicate this month to worshipping Allah the Almighty.
