In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Do worldly life and the Hereafter contradict each other?
Dear brothers, the worldly life and they Hereafter do not contradict one another. In fact, worldly life is a means to strive for the Hereafter.
Prophet PBUH said:
(( The best of you is not the one who abandons his worldly life for the sake of the Hereafter, nor the one who abandons the Hereafter for the sake of his worldly life, but rather the one who takes from both; for indeed, this world is a provision that leads to the Hereafter. ))
Allah Almighty says:
﴾ Men whom neither trade nor sale distract from the Remembrance of Allah ﴿
A person may establish a company, pursue a doctorate degree or achieve great accomplishments, yet remain with Allah -even at the peak of being busy.
Being religious does not mean withdrawing from life, isolating yourself at home, or claiming: "There is no good left in people".
True religiosity is lived through active engagement- contributing, serving, building, and striving. Just as our nation needs those willing to die for its sake, it equally needs those who are willing to live for its sake.
Ask yourself: What have you offered to this Ummah?
﴾ Men whom neither trade nor sale diverts them from the Remembrance of Allah
﴿
Be the first merchant to build housing for seekers of knowledge, to establish an orphanage, or to found a charitable institution or medical facility.
Do something that brings real benefit to people.
Some charitable clinics offer free laboratory tests and provide expensive medical services for only one-tenth of their actual cost. These are the deeds that truly help others.
Do not remain passive, withdrawn, isolated or negative.
Ask yourself: What have you contributed to his noble collective effort?
