In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord (The One and Only) of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and upon his Noble Folks and Companions.

In fact, man is grateful to Allah for many blessings, the most important of which is the blessing of his existence. Sometimes, man reads a book which was written before he was born, and he will ask himself, "Where was I when this book was written? I had no existence at that time." Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ (Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned?)  ﴿

[  [Al-Insan, 1] ]

Due to Allah's Favor upon us, we exist, and we are provided with many blessings, like fruits, vegetables, legumes, crops, water, and air, which we breathe for free, in addition to billions of other blessings. You are surrounded with blessings, so wherever you lay your eyes on, you will see a blessing. Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ (Have We not made for him a pair of eyes?* And a tongue and a pair of lips?* And shown him [An-Najdain] the two ways (good and evil, [and according to some interpretations they are the two breasts]?) ﴿

[[Al-Balad, 8-10   ]

I repeat, Allah the Almighty has provided us with the blessings of existence and sustenance, but most importantly, as scholars mentioned, He has provided us with the blessing of guidance to His Path.

Allah the Almighty has bestowed upon us the blessing of existence first, the blessing of sustenance second, and the blessing of guidance third. So, we should be thankful to Him. Politeness towards Allah the Almighty is manifested in thanking Him with your tongue by saying, "O Allah, praise be to You", "Allah hears whoever praises Him", which is said in Salah, or "O Allah, all praises, thanks, blessings and pleasure are to You." This is how, as a Muslim, you are supposed to thank Allah verbally, but the best form of gratitude is the practical one, which is manifested in your deeds. Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ ("Work you, O family of Dawud (David), with thanks!" But few of My slaves are grateful.)  ﴿

[ [Saba', 13]

In my view, the believer, who intends to express his gratefulness to Allah the Almighty for the blessings of existence, sustenance and guidance, can do that by being kind and benevolent towards Allah's creations.
