Why does Allah mention green particularly in the Quran?

 In fact, the color Green is mentioned in quite a few Verses of Allah’s Book, the Holy Quran. For, example, Allah, All-Mighty, describes people of Paradise, saying,

“Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. Then, which of the Favors of your Lord will you both (jinn and humans) deny?”

[LV; 76,77]

  In another Quranic Verse, He, Most Gracious, says,

“Their garments will be of fine green silk and gold embroidery. They will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a pure drink.”

[LXXVII; 21]

 In a third Verse, He, says,

“Those: for them will be the Gardens of Eden (Paradise), wherein rivers flow underneath them, wherein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold, and they will weargreen garments of line and thick silk. They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good the reward is! And what an excellent resting place!”

[XVIII; 31]

  But what do psychologists say about the relationship between man and colors? They say: “Colors have a great influence on man. They may cause him to be daring or cowardly. They may make him feel cold or hot. And they may even make him feel happy or miserable.” In other words, colors have a great influence on man’s personality and outlook on life.
 Scientists say: “By its long wave the color Yellow revives the nervous system of man.” That is to say, if you desire to put an effective advertisement in a street or a public place, the best color to use is yellow, as it has a longer wavelength that other colors and is, therefore, more effective on the human nervous system.
  The color Purple gives the feeling of stability and comfort, while the color Blue gives the feeling of wideness and coldness. The color Red, with its different shades, gives the feeling of warmness.
  However, the color that brings happiness into man’s heart and stirs feelings of delight in him is, undoubtedly, the color Green. That is why Allah, Most Gracious, has made the color of plants mainly Green in order to give man a feeling of comfort and delight. And that is why surgeons are dressed in Green in order to give patients undergoing surgical operations the feeling of safety and security.
  Most remarkably, Allah, Glory to Him, calls our attention to the Bliss, wherein people of Paradise will be, by Verses that abound in the color Green.
