In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Man’s need of Oxygen:
Praise be to Allah, The Lord (The One and Only) of the worlds. Blessings and peace be upon our master, Prophet Muhammad, the Truthful and the Faithful.Man’s need of Oxygen:
Dear brothers, man is in need of Oxygen and an atmospheric pressure that equals 76 cubic centimeters of Mercury on one square centimeter, and this is the atmospheric pressure at the sea level.
Scientists said that if man goes up to a height of 10,000 feet above sea level, he feels decrease of both oxygen and atmospheric pressure, but he will stay comfortable. If he goes higher up to 16,000 feet high, his body can cope with the lack of oxygen through complicated mechanisms.
﴾ He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky. ﴿
Is not this Ayah a proof of the inimitability of Quran? Were there any airplanes at that time? How did Allah’s Messenger, Muhammad, (PBUH), know such fact?! Did he, or anyone else at his time, ever climb up into the sky so as to describe such a natural phenomenon?!
When you fly in an airplane, you do not feel such things as above mentioned, because special apparatuses press the air inside the plane in order to make the pressure inside equal to that on the Earth’s surface. If such apparatuses were suddenly to break down, the plane has to make an immediate forced-landing, otherwise all passengers on board would be killed.
The Ayah is very delicate, first man feels that his breast is closed and constricted, then after 25 thousand feet he feels unbearable pain as if he is climbing up to the sky
Supplication:
O Allah, we beseech You to show us the way of righteousness together with those to whom You showed it; and to give us good health together with those whom You have healed; and to be our Protector, as You are of those whom You protect; and to bless what You have bestowed on us; and to save us from the affliction that You have decreed –for You rule with justice and You are never judged; and he whom You protect shall never be humiliated, and he whom You make Your enemy shall never be elevated, blessed and dignified are You. We thank You for what You have decreed, we ask You for Forgiveness for our sins, and we repent to You.
O Allah, please make us do well in the Deen, which is our dignity, make us do well in our worldly life, in which we dwell and grant us safety on the Day of Judgment for it is our Final Destination. O Allah, please supply our life with all good things and make our death a rest from every evil, O our Master, the Lord of all Worlds.
O Allah, make us desire what You have made lawful and reject what You have made unlawful, make us by Your benevolence independent of all others and make our obedience to You turn us away from our disobedience, and blessings and peace be upon our master, Prophet Muhammad, the Truthful and the Faithful.
