Dear brothers,

﴾ O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious – see V.2:2).﴿ 

[Al-Baqarah, 183]

You may avoid doubtful matters by believing deeply in certainties, you can avoid Allah's Wrath by seeking His Pleasure, you can avoid sinning by obeying Allah and you can avoid having bad thoughts of Allah by holding onto a good thought of Him, given holding onto a good thought of Allah is the price for Paradise. 

It is as if Allah decreed that the five prayers spiritually charge the believer daily.

I am not exaggerating if I compare you to the cellular phone which needs charging, and unless it is charged it will turn off. The same goes for you without these spiritual charges. 

The five daily prayers are the daily charge. You also have weekly charge that lasts for an entire week, and it is Friday prayer that lasts till the next Thursday.

In Friday Khutbah (sermon) you listen to verified research, texts, verses, Prophetic Ahadeeth, examples, stories and ideas which enrich your convictions and orientations and increase your fear from Allah and your obedience to Him. This is a weekly charge. As for the annual charge, it lasts for 30 days, which is the month of Ramadan.

The daily prayers are a charge, the Friday Khutbah is a charge, Ramadan is a long charge that lasts for 30 days,

and there is a lifetime charge which is Hajj.
