Some Prophetic Ahadeeth about the Noble Quran:
Dear believing brothers, there is a group of Prophetic Ahadeeth about the Noble Quran.
"He who recites the Noble Quran will never be sad":
The Prophet PBUH said:
(He who recites the Noble Quran will never be sad.)
The Prophet PBUH assured us that the one who recites the Quran will never be sad, because he knows that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allah Alone. Indeed, the slaves (of Allah) have never learnt anything better than Tawheed, and when man believes in Allah, he will never be sad.
﴾ So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment.﴿
(Offer your deeds seeking the Countenance of Allah, so that Allah will help you accomplish your missions (in this life and in the Hereafter).)
(Whoever focuses all his concerns on one issue, namely the Hereafter, Allah will suffice him and spare him the worries of this world.)
(He who recites the Noble Quran will never be sad.)
This is because he worships only Allah, Al-Wahid (The One) and Ad-Dayyan (The Judge).
(He who recites the Noble Quran will never be sad.)
This is because he believes beyond doubt that the gates of repentance are wide open.
﴾ Say: "O 'Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins.﴿
Allah said in the Divine Hadith:
(O My slave, if you turn to Me with sincere repentance from as many sins as would fill the heavens and the earth, I forgive you and don't not care)
Why would the one who reads the Noble Quran be sad as long as the gates of repentance are wide open?
(Allah is happier with the repentance of His slaves than the lost one who finds his way, the sterile one who begets children, and the thirsty one who reaches a fountain of water.)
Why would the one who reads the Noble Quran be sad since he is assured by Allah the Almighty in the Noble Quran that he will get a good life?
﴾ Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life﴿
Can any party on earth nullify this Ayah? Can any party on earth prevent the believer from having the Divinely promised good life? Why would the one who reads the Noble Quran be sad while he reads the following Ayah?
﴾ Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds﴿
It is impossible that the life of those who believe and offer good deeds are like the life of those who sin. Likewise, their death will not be the same.
Dear believing brothers, had man comprehended every Ayah in the Quran, his heart would have been overwhelmed with security and tranquility. The following Ayah is enough to grant man this assurance:
﴾ So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.﴿
If you offer goodness for the Sake of Allah, you should know beyond doubt that your deed will be preserved for you by Allah, and it will be saved for you in this life and in the Hereafter. Allah the Almighty says:
﴾ "But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection."﴿
If man's only concern is this world, and if he abandons religion and the Noble Quran, he should know beyond doubt that his life will be a miserable one.
﴾ "But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) ﴿
"Whosoever" in the Ayah indicates a condition that should be fulfilled, so that the intended goal will be achieved.
﴾ "But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection."﴿
Why would the one who reads the Noble Quran be sad, and Allah gives him a glad tiding? Allah the Almighty says:
﴾ Is he whom We have promised an excellent promise (Paradise), which he will find true, like him whom We have made to enjoy the luxuries of the life of (this) world, then on the Day of Resurrection, he will be among those brought up (to be punished in the Hell-fire)?﴿
They are not equal, are they? They are not of the same level, are they? The difference between the two is like the difference between the sky and the earth and between the stars and the dust.
﴾ Which he will find true﴿
Is he whom Allah has promised an excellent promise like the one whom Allah has made to enjoy this present life?
﴾ He will be among those brought up (to be punished in the Hell-fire)?﴿
Why would the one who reads the Quran be sad while he recites the following Ayah?
﴾ Verily, those who say: "Our Lord is Allah (Alone)," and then they Istaqamu , on them the angels will descend (at the time of their death) (saying): "Fear not, nor grieve! But receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised!﴿
Why would the one who reads the Quran be sad as long as Al-Wahid Ad-Dayyan promises him to be free of sadness?
﴾"Fear not, nor grieve! ﴿
They do not fear the future, nor do they get sad because of the past. Is there any greater assurance, which extends from the past to the future, than this? Is there any assurance on earth that embraces the past and the future?
(He who recites the Noble Quran will never be sad.)
Why would the reader of the Quran be sad and he knows that if he returns to his Lord he will rejoice being close to Him? Why would he be sad since he is promised to be admitted to Paradise wherein no eye (has ever) seen, no ear has (ever) heard and no human heart has ever perceived?
﴾ No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.﴿
Why would the one who reads the Quran be sad and he recites the following Ayah?
﴾ Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record!* "Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!"* So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing* In a lofty Paradise* The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand* Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past!﴿
Is there anything more frightening to people than death? Death is the end of life for some people, but in the perspective of the Quran death is the start of the eternal life.
﴾ And your Lord comes with the angels in rows* And Hell will be brought near that Day. On that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance (then) avail him?* He will say: "Alas! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my life!"﴿
What kind of life he has been leading? It is the mundane life, and it is called like this because there is a transcendental life wherein there is no death, aging, diseases or anything that might spoil it.
"He who learns the Quran, Allah keeps his mind sound…"
Dear believing brothers, he who reads the Quran is meant by the following Hadith. The Prophet PBUH said:
(He who learns the Quran, Allah keeps his mind sound for him until he passes away.)
Why would the one who recites the Quran be sad, and he knows beyond doubt that his reciting will protect his mind until his death? Senility, dementia, low communication between neurons (nerve cells) and the fear of losing one's social position are perils face people at their old age. The one who recites the Quran will be saved from all that according to the Hadith:
(He who learns the Quran, Allah keeps his mind sound for him until he passes away.)
Why would the one who recites the Quran be sad and he recites the following Ayah?
﴾ And in the heaven is your sustenance, and that which you are promised* Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak.﴿
Why do people put on false appearances? They do so for sustenance. Why do people disobey their Lord? They do so for sustenance. Due to their weak faith, narrow minds and remoteness from the Quran, they commit sins and errors for sustenance, but if they recite the following Ayah, they will abandon sinning to earn sustenance:
﴾ And in the heaven is your sustenance, and that which you are promised* Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak.﴿
Why would the one who recites the Quran be sad and he knows that seeking something by sinning will make this very thing far from his reach, and he will become closer to what he fears? The one who recites the Quran knows that all affairs are arranged due to prosperity bestowed upon him from Allah, so he recites:
﴾ And my guidance cannot come except from Allah﴿
This Ayah means that no purpose on earth shall be achieved without prosperity from Allah. Thus, if man seeks anything by sinning, he will not achieve his purpose. This fact is crystal clear for the one who recites the Quran. Accordingly, the true believer tries to achieve his purposes through lawful means, so he does not deceive people to feed his children, otherwise he will not be a Quran reciter, for the one who recites the Quran never uses unlawful means to achieve a lawful purposes in his life. The one who recites the Quran knows beyond doubt that everything is in the Hand of Allah the Almighty:
﴾ And to Him return all affairs (for decision).﴿
When does Allah command you to obey Him? He does so when He assures you that everything is in His Hand.
﴾ And to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad PBUH) and put your trust in Him. And your Lord is not unaware of what you (people) do."﴿
Why would the one who recites the Quran be sad, while he recites the following Ayah?
﴾ So plot against me, all of you, and give me no respite* "I put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord! There is not a moving (living) creature but He has grasp of its forelock. Verily, my Lord is on the Straight Path (the truth).﴿
All your fears and worries are in the Hand of Allah, thus when you establish a connection with Him based on obedience and love, Allah the Almighty will defend you according to the following Ayah:
﴾ Truly, Allah defends those who believe.﴿
Why would the one who recites the Quran be sad, and he knows beyond doubt that The Creator of the heavens and the earth and The One in Whose Hand is everything will defend him? The defendant who hires a good lawyer will be at ease, though he might be disappointed by him, but the one who makes Allah his defender shall never get sad, and why would he?!!
Tranquility:
Dear believing brothers, Allah gives health, smartness, wealth and beauty to so many of His slaves, however, He gives security only to the true believers. Security, tranquility and spiritual equilibrium are unknown emotions to the one who lacks them. .
﴾(So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know."﴿
The answer is in the following Ayah:
﴾ It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided.﴿
The grace of security:
Security is something different from safety. Safety is about not being befallen by disasters, but security is about not expecting any disaster. The grace of security is known only by the true believer, because he knows for sure that Allah the Almighty in His Loftiness will defend him and will never let anyone (or anything) hurt him.
﴾ And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers. ﴿
Succession in the earth is contingent on worshiping Allah:
Why would the one who recites the Quran be sad, as long as he recites this Ayah?
﴾ Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me﴿
The sincere worship is a condition for being granted succession in the earth. Allah the Almighty promises the true believing worshipers of empowerment, security and succession in the earth, but if they breach their covenant, Allah the Almighty will be exempted from fulfilling the three promises.
Reader of the Quran shall never fall in sadness:
Dear believing brothers, why would the one who recites the Quran be sad since he recites day and night the following Ayah?
﴾ All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). ﴿
He recites it in his five daily prayers and in every Ruk'ah in Fard or Nafl Salah.
﴾ All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). ﴿
He praises Allah for everything.
Why would the one who recites the Quran be sad and he knows beyond doubt that calamities embrace goodness within?
﴾ Say (O Muhammad PBUH) : "O Allah! Possessor of the kingdom, You give the kingdom to whom You will, and You take the kingdom from whom You will, and You endue with honour whom You will, and You humiliate whom You will. In Your Hand is the good.﴿
Why would the one who recites the Quran be sad, and he knows that wealth, money and everything he might lose are but graces from Allah? Allah the Almighty says:
﴾And has completed and perfected His Graces upon you, (both) apparent (i.e Islamic Monotheism, and the lawful pleasures of this world, including health, good looks, etc.) and hidden [i.e. One's Faith in Allah (of Islamic Monotheism) knowledge, wisdom, guidance for doing righteous deeds, and also the pleasures and delights of the Hereafter in Paradise, etc.] ﴿
Dear believing brothers, if you recite the Quran, you will find cure to all psychological diseases people suffer from. Man in our era is crushed between meeting his needs and keeping his values intact, between materialistic world and spiritual one and between being in harmony with his principles and being in harmony with the necessities of this era. As a result, he falls in severe struggle, and the only way out is through reciting and comprehending the Ayaat of the Noble Quran.
If you recite the Noble Quran, and you know beyond doubt that its words are the truth that falsehood cannot come to them from before them or behind them, and you know that the Quran is sent to the Prophet PBUH from Allah the Almighty in Whose Hand are all affairs and creations, only then, your soul will be at ease, and you will taste the sweetness of serenity that is lacked by the one who is very far from Allah the Almighty.
Dear believing brothers, there are so many Prophetic Ahadeeth about the Noble Quran, and the first one is:
(He who recites the Noble Quran will never be sad)
I hope that you keep this Hadith in your minds, consciousness and inner selves, and that you make your motivation is reciting the Quran a recitation of comprehension, reflection, contemplation and application. Only then, this Noble Quran will become our guidance in life, sustenance, connections with people and connections with Allah, Exalted and Sublime be He.
Dear believing brothers, call yourselves to account before you are called to do so, and weigh your deeds before they are weighed against you, and you should know that the Angel of Death has reached others and will reach us soon, so pay heed. The wise man is the one who calls himself to account (and refrains from doing evil deeds) and does noble deeds to benefit him after death; and the foolish person is the one who subdues himself to his temptations and desires and seeks from Allah the fulfillment of his vain desires.
Every creature dies, and nothing is left except the Omnipotent and the Most Powerful.
No matter how long the night is,
Dawn will come eventually,
No matter how long you live,
You will enter the grave inevitably
No matter how long man lives,
one day he will be carried to the grave
If you carry a dead man to his grave,
one day you will be carried too
Funeral prayer (Salat Al-Janazah):
Dear brothers, the funeral prayer includes 4 Takbeerat (saying Allahu Akbar: Allah is The Greatest). After the first Takbeer, we read praises and Surat Al-Fatihah, and after the second Takbeer, we read As-Salawat Al-Ibrahimiyah (O Allah, we ask You to raise the rank of Muhammad, and have mercy upon the Aal (wives, Muslim kin, and pious Muslim followers) of Muhammad, as You raised the rank of Ibrahim, and the Aal of Ibrahim. Verily, You are the One Who deserves to be praised and thanked, and the One Who is glorified. O Allah, we ask You to bless Muhammad, and the Aal of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim, and the Aal of Ibrahim. Verily, You are the One Who deserves to be praised and thanked, and the One Who is glorified).
After the third Takbeer, we supplicate for the deceased by saying, "O Allah, forgive him and have mercy upon him, excuse him and pardon him, and make honorable his reception. O Allah, expand his entry, and cleanse him with water, snow and ice, and purify him of sin as a white robe is purified of filth. O Allah, exchange his abode for a better abode, his family for a better family, and his spouse for a better spouse. O Allah admit him to Paradise, and protect him from punishment of the grave and the torment of the fire."
After the fourth Takbeer the one who prays recites:
﴾ "Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire!"﴿
O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward and do not let us stray after him.
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of Creations

The 2nd Khutbah:
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the Guardian of the pious, and I testify that our Master Muhammad is his Slave and Messenger, the one of great exalted character. O Allah, have Your peace and blessings upon our Master Muhammad, his Folks and his Companions.
White blood cells:
Dear brothers, every one of us has three kinds of cells in his blood. The first kind is the red blood cells, and I mentioned them in previous lectures so many times. The second kind is the white blood cells, and the third kind is blood platelets.
The white cells are the defense army which takes over the mission of defending the body against any bacterial attack, and doctors call them "The immunity system".
These cells swim in the blood stream. However, they have the ability to swim against the blood stream.
They can get out of the blood vessels towards the muscular tissues, and they can penetrate all restricted areas in the systems of the body.
What is the nature of these white cells? They have fortresses where they lodge and from which they launch, and those fortresses are but the lymph nodes.
According to scientists, some of the white blood cells accomplish the mission of scouting. If any bacterium enters the body, these cells approach it to identify its structure and its shortcomings, so that they start to know how to disarm it, what deactivates it, and what kills it. Then, they go back as if they were rational creatures of a very high level of intelligence to the place they launch from (i.e. the lymph nodes). They transfer all the information about this bacterium, so that the factories of the lymph nodes start producing antibodies.
Other kind of white blood cells are the ones which make weapons, so the antibodies are produced by them in the nodes in order to kill the bacteria. A third kind of the white blood cells are the fighters, which take these antibodies and dispatch to fight the infection and surround the bacteria with a siege until they kill them. Hence, when man feels a swollen part in an area in his body, this is but the residue that is left after a fierce fight between the white blood cells and the bacteria.
The human body has many defensive lines; white blood cells are the first one, and the lymph nodes are the second. If a bacteria attack the lymph nodes, the entire body will be at alert, so the body will have fever, it will be too weak to do the daily functions and it will show symptoms of general infection.
Dear believing brothers, these facts that are known to the medical students are very small part of other scientific facts about the human body.
As for the immunity system which consists of these three kinds of cells (the scouts, the manufacturers, the fighters) along with the central management of the lymph nodes and its wise tactics to defend the body, it is prone to attacks like in AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) which is spoken about worldwide nowadays.
It caught my attention that the Prophet PBUH referred to this disease in an indirect way in the following Hadith:
(It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) turned to us and said: 'O Muhajirun, there are five things with which you will be tested, and I seek refuge with Allah lest you live to see them: …')
Scientists said, "The first reason for AIDS to spread is the sexual relations out of marriage (fornication) or homosexuality between the members of a society." The Prophet PBUH said:
(Immorality never appears among a people to such an extent that they commit it openly..)
"Commit openly" means they speak about their unlawful sexual relations publically in the media, magazines and newspapers in the west and in the countries where dissoluteness prevails. They even put ads in the media to promote dissoluteness, fornication, brothels and immoral places.
(…that they commit it openly, but plagues and diseases that were never known among the predecessors will spread among them…)
AIDS is the top concern of the whole world, because it is fatal, and people, who broke all the lawful limits in their sexual relations, fear everything lest they are infected with AIDS. They did not consider Allah's Law, and they did not consider lawful means like marriage. Thus, they are prone to be victims of their own crimes, and AIDS has turned their lives into a living hell.
(O Muhajirun, there are five things with which you will be tested, and I seek refuge with Allah lest you live to see them: Immorality never appears among a people to such an extent that they commit it openly, but plagues and diseases that were never known among the predecessors will spread among them.)
Du'a (Supplication):
O Allah, we beseech You to show us the way of righteousness together with those to whom You showed it; and to give us good health together with those whom You have healed; and to be our Protector, as You are of those whom You protect; and to bless what You have bestowed on us; and to save us from the affliction that You have decreed –for You rule with justice and You are never judged; and he whom You protect shall never be humiliated, and he whom You make Your enemy shall never be elevated, blessed and dignified are You. We thank You for what You have decreed, we ask You for Forgiveness for our sins, and we repent to You.
O Allah, increase us [in Your Blessings] and do not decrease us, honor us and do not humiliate us, give us [from Your Gifts] and do not deprive us, be in favor of us and not against us and make us satisfied and be satisfied with us.
O Allah, give us a share of fear of You that will keep us from disobeying You, and a share of obedience to You that will drive us to Your Paradise, and a share of firm belief [in You] that will make easy for us the calamities of the world. O Allah! Make us enjoy our [full] hearing, sight, and health all along our lifetimes, and make them our heirs [i.e., keep them strong until we die], and grant us revenge over those who have wronged us, and grant us victory over those who antagonize us, and do not cause our problems to be concerning our religious commitment, and do not make our worldly life the most concern for us or the utmost of our knowledge, and do not empower over us those who do not fear You or have mercy on us, O Lord of the Worlds.
O Allah, forgive our sins, cover our defects, accept our repentance, set us free from the worldly concerns and pleasures, set right our salvation, fulfill the hopes which please You and let the last of our deeds be the best, O Lord of the worlds.
O Allah, we seek refuge with you from being in need of anyone but You, from fearing anyone but You, from lowering ourselves before anyone save You. O Allah, we seek refuge from an intractable disease, from enemies who glee at our misfortune and from withholding after bestowing, O Lord of the Worlds.
O Allah, by Your Mercy and Benevolence, raise high the word of Al-Haqq and this Deen, grant triumph to Islam, dignify Muslims and lead the rulers of Muslims to what pleases You, O Lord of the Worlds, as You are the only One Who is capable over His decreed and Who responds to our supplication.
