Praise be to Allah, The Lord (The One and Only) of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad, the Truthful and the Faithful.
Parenthood is an art and knowledge. Let me draw your attention to something that makes me deeply hurt: If the father neglects the Islamic knowledge, he will not be able to deliver this knowledge to his children, because the one who does not have anything can give nothing. Some parents only care about food, drinks, picnics, banquets, and evening parties, and they are not interested in knowing Allah's Method, in raising their children properly (according to Islamic teachings) or in reaping the fruits of taking care of the religious education of their children. Undoubtedly, the greatest trade-gain from Allah is the righteous upbringing of children, because all their deeds will be recorded in their parents' record of deeds.  The following Ayah indicates this fact clearly:  

(And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith, to them shall We join their offspring)

[At-Tur, 21]

All children's deeds forever and ever will be recorded in their parents' record of deeds.
