Lesson 13 – "O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad PBUH), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. As-Salamu 'A

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Dear noble brothers, we are discussing a new lesson of this series about the Ayaat that start with, "O you who believe…", and the Ayah today is the following:

(Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad PBUH) and also His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad PBUH), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. As-Salamu 'Alaikum).)

[Al-Ahzab, 56]

Some people like the adornments and enjoyments of the worldly life, they like to have the upper hand, they like to have control over other people, and they like to have power and be feared by others, but the following Ayah guides you to the one you should love. You are supposed to love the perfect man among all mankind, who is Allah's Messenger, peace be upon him:

(Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad PBUH) and also His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad PBUH), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. As-Salamu 'Alaikum).)

[Al-Ahzab, 56]

You should have a connection with him through his Noble Prophetic Sirah and Sunnah by putting it into practice. Scholars agreed on the meaning of this Noble Ayah:

(And Allah would not punish them while you (Muhammad PBUH) are amongst them.)

[Al-Anfal, 33]

The Ayah means that as long as the Prophet, peace be upon him, was among them, Allah the Almighty did not punish them, but after having passed away, they can avoid Allah's Punishment as long as they apply the Prophetic Sunnah to their daily life activities.
Let me repeat the Ayah:

(O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad PBUH)…)

[Al-Ahzab, 56]

We should read the Prophet's Prophetic Ahadeeth and his practical Sirah, and thus love him, and when we love him, we send him Salat and we greet him.
