Interpretation of the Quran- Long version- Surat Al-An'am- Lesson (4-60)- ayat (2-3): True Success is in the Hereafter not in this Life

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Dear brothers, this is lesson No. 4 of interpreting Surat Al-An'am.

“To Him belongs whatever exists in the night and the day”:

We will start with interpreting the Ayah No. 13. Allah says:

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."﴿

[Al-An'am, 13]

﴾And to Him﴿

This means that to Him belongs the universe and everything else, and they are created, managed and destined by Allah alone, for He is the Eternal Owner of Sovereignty, so whatever He owns is His. This Divine Ownership is absolute, and this is the meaning of "And to Him", because Allah owns your safety, happiness, exaltedness and other matters, and in His Hand lies your happiness and misery.

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists﴿

In fact, some interpreters said, "To Allah belongs every moving and existing thing, and the existing objects embrace things more than what the moving objects embrace, for the moving objects stop at a certain stage. This is exactly what happens to the heart which is the engine of the body that makes it move since birth till death; between every two beats there is a skipped beat during which the heart stops moving. This indicates that the more all-inclusive and sufficient word which embraces every creation is "existing".

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists﴿

Stillness is the origin of everything and movement is accidental. Even when you see an animation, it is actually a sequence of separate frames with stops between them, but the eye cannot capture the stops between these frames, because the difference from one frame to another is very slight, so it looks fluid to the eye.

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists﴿

This means, everything other than Allah belongs to Him, and Allah's Existence is inevitable, whereas the existence of everything else is probable.

﴾ in the night and the day,﴿

Time is accidental, whereas the gist lies in the thing that exists. Thus, to Allah belongs whatever exists in the night and the day, which means the place and time, for the place is the origin in which lies whatever exists, and all that exist belong to Him, whereas darkness is the origin of time, and light is the accidental event. Allah says:

﴾We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness.﴿

[Ya-Sin, 37]

The absolute knowledge, time and place are in Allah's Hand:

Allah says:

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."﴿

[Al-An'am, 13]

Allah hears whatever you say, and even when you prefer to keep silent, Allah knows what is in your inner self. Thus, Allah's Knowledge,  Place and Time are absolute and they belong to Him the Almighty. Do you think man can ever taste stability if he is away from Allah given all his matters are in the Hand of Allah?  How strange it is to know Allah but  not love Him! How strange it is to love Him but not obey Him although all your matters, safety, provision,  happiness and the happiness of those around you, of those superior to you, of those inferior to you and of those related to you are in the Hand of Allah. The strongest power on earth, the diseases, viruses and causes of diseases are also in the Hand of Allah.

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."﴿

[Al-An'am, 13]

﴾Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "O Allah! Possessor of the kingdom﴿

[Aal-'Imran, 26]

What do we deduce from this serious fact? The answer is in the following Ayah:

﴾Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Shall I take as a Wali (helper, protector, etc.) any other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? And it is He Who feeds but is not fed." Say: "Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)." And be not you (O Muhammad PBUH) of the Mushrikun [polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah].﴿

[Al-An'am, 14]

Since you know beyond doubt that everything is in Allah's Hand, all matters are managed by Him and  He is the Owner of everything existing moving  in the dark and in the day, and since you know that He knows what is in your inner self even though you keep silent, that He hears you when you talk and that Allah is Absolute in His Kingdom, Knowledge and Omnipotence, how come you take a protector and helper (Wali) other than Him?

((I create them, then they worship other gods that they make for themselves; I bless them with my bounties, then they thank someone else for what I sent them; My Mercy descends to them while their evil deeds ascend to Me; I endear them with my gifts even though I have no need for any of them, while they alienate themselves from Me with their sins even though they are desperate for My help.))

[Mentioned in the relic]

Difference between the word "Fatir" and "Khaliq":

Dear brothers, it is bizarre to see man taking Wali other than the Almighty Allah.

﴾Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Shall I take as a Wali (helper, protector, etc.) any other than Allah,﴿

[Al-An'am, 14]

Wali is an Arabic word which refers to the one who manages your matters, whose instructions lead you to the Right Path, who protects you from your foes and enemies, who shows you the course to your happiness and safety, who has mercy on you, who forgives you, who bestows blessings upon you, who exalts you and who guards you:

﴾Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Shall I take as a Wali (helper, protector, etc.) any other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth?﴿

[Al-An'am, 14]

The Arabic word "Fatir" of heavens and earth means the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and may be the word Fatir embraces more meanings than the Creator, for creating the physical side of creatures  is done by a creator. Yet,  the living creature needs Fatir (to provide them with a soul). As a human being you have a soul, a Fitrah, characteristics, laws and traits that lie deep in his inner self, so who grants man all these things?

﴾And by Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul, etc.), and Him Who perfected him in proportion* Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him;﴿

[Ash-Shams, 7-8]

Dear brothers, Allah the Almighty says:

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."* Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Shall I take as a Wali (helper, protector, etc.) any other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? And it is He Who feeds but is not fed."﴿

 [Al-An'am, 13-14]

This means that whoever needs food to live is in dire need of the Almighty Allah to maintain his existence. Thus, there is a big difference between the one who eats food (man) and the One Who does not (Allah).

﴾ And it is He Who feeds but is not fed."﴿

In the following Ayah, Allah proves to mankind  that Prophets and Messengers, peace be upon them, are human beings:

﴾They ate food and walked in the markets﴿

[Al-Furqan, 20]

The Quran proves that all matters are in the Hand of Allah:

We are all, as human beings, in need of Allah in our existence and in the continuity of our existence, because we cannot live without food. Moreover, we need to strive in life and markets in order to earn money to pay for our food. Hence,  as a human being, you are in need of Allah twice: once when you need  Him for your food, and the other time when  you need money to buy that food. Therefore, you have to work and this is what all people do. Unlike you, the Almighty Allah is Fard and Samad (The Unique Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks), and He does not beget, nor was He begotten.

﴾ And it is He Who feeds but is not fed."﴿

﴾Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Shall I take as a Wali (helper, protector, etc.) any other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth?﴿

What is wrong with people nowadays taking one another as gods and rivals (to Allah) instead of Allah? In fact, the fall of those people, who associate partners with Allah, brings them to their demise, because they resort to a weak creature instead of Allah, while in fact you are not even allowed to resort to the Master of mankind, the beloved to the Haqq, the best among people and the top  human being (i.e. the Prophet PBUH) instead of Allah ( it is rather more forbidden to resort to another weak creature instead of Allah). Allah says about the Prophet PBUH:

﴾nor (that) I know the unseen﴿

[Al-An'am, 50]

Allah also says:

﴾ If I had the knowledge of the Ghaib (unseen), I should have secured for myself an abundance of wealth, and no evil should have touched me﴿

[Al-A'raf, 188]

Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm…"﴿

[Al-Jinn, 21]

Allah says:

﴾ If I had the knowledge of the Ghaib (unseen), I should have secured for myself an abundance of wealth, and no evil should have touched me﴿

 [Al-A'raf, 188]

Allah also says:

﴾Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Verily, if I disobey my Lord, I am afraid of the torment of a great Day."﴿

[Az-Zumar, 13]

Your choice of  believing is a matter of time:

When the Prophet PBUH died, our Master Abu Bakr As-Sideeq, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "No doubt! Whoever worshipped Muhammad, then Muhammad is dead, but whoever worshipped Allah, then Allah is Alive and shall never die."

Allah the Almighty says:

﴾Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Shall I take as a Wali (helper, protector, etc.) any other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? And it is He Who feeds but is not fed." Say: "Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)." And be not you (O Muhammad PBUH) of the Mushrikun [polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah].﴿

[Al-An'am, 14]

Having true faith requires seeking superiority and  as hasty (in performing good deeds), and it requires having lofty aspiration:

﴾"Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)."﴿

Man might embrace Islam when it is too late, or might embrace Islam at his old age. Bear in mind  that your choice of believing is a matter of time, so you believe either early enough or too late. Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said many things arrogantly such as:

﴾Saying: "I am your lord, most high",﴿

 [An-Nazi'aat, 24]

He also said:

﴾O chiefs! I know not that you have an ilah (a god) other than me﴿

 [Al-Qasas, 38]

In spite of what said, he finally believed:

﴾"I believe that La ilaha illa (Huwa): (none has the right to be worshipped but) He," in Whom the Children of Israel believe﴿

 [Yunus, 90]

His belief came too late, and so Allah said to him:

﴾Now (you believe) while you refused to believe before and you were one of the Mufsidun (evil-doers, corrupts, etc.).﴿

[Yunus, 91]

Repentance should be immediately after sins:

Every person will believe when death comes to him, and this is an inevitable fact, but your success lies in believing before it is too late, and your triumph is achieved when you believe while you are healthy, strong, rich and young, so that you will leave your milestone in life according to the Divine Method. Furthermore, believing in the right time makes death your ticket to Paradise instead of being a disaster, and because of this belief, the blessings in the worldly life will continue till the Hereafter.

﴾"Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)." And be not you (O Muhammad PBUH) of the Mushrikun [polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah].﴿

Whoever longs only to pass the exam, most likely will fail in it, but whoever longs to superiority, will pass the exam. Therefore, man should long to the highest exalted ranks in order to guarantee the least exalted one. There is an indication in the following Ayah:

﴾"Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)."﴿

This Ayah denotes that if man, Allah forbid, commits a sin, he should haste to repent and should not sleep on it, lest his heart hardens. Keep in mind that every wrong notion will turn into a thought if it is not got rid of,  then it will turn into a desire, then into a will, then into a deed and finally into a habit which will die hard, and this is the situation of the majority of people.

﴾And the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened?﴿

[Al-Hadid, 16]

Keep these things right and everything will be ok:

Allah the Almighty says:

﴾"Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)."﴿

This Ayah indicates that man should haste to repent, obey Allah, reconciliation with Allah and improve his connection with Him. Let me remind you again that you should not be worried upon missing anything in the worldly life if four things in your life are  right, but missing any of them will bring instability to your life, the first of which is your connection with Allah, the second is your connection with your body, the third is your connection with your work and the fourth is your connection with your family. Having a strong connection with Allah will reflect on your connection with your body, work and family.

﴾Say: "I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the torment of a Mighty Day."﴿

[Al-An'am, 15]

Allah's Torment shall be seen in this life before the Hereafter:

All of us observe Allah's Torment in the worldly life before observing His Torment in the Hereafter. You must have heard of what happen in Asia. The beaches of  countries there are the most beautiful ones in the world, for it is a tropical area which is warm in winter and rainy all-year-round, and its  climate is warm and gentle. Accordingly, the most luxurious resorts in the world are located there, but  in few minutes everything on those beaches became as described in the following Ayah:

﴾"Then He shall leave it as a level smooth plain* "You will see therein nothing crooked or curved."﴿

[Ta-Ha, 106-107]

The earthquake took place 1000 kilometers deep in the ocean, and it was as strong as 1 million atomic bombs:

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists in the night and the day﴿

[Al-An'am, 13]

Earth's plates were moving, given the core of earth contains very hot lava which erupts and ejects upwards, and over this lava there is a cracked rocky layer (lithosphere). Allah mentions this fact when He says:

﴾By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again* And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants),﴿

 [At-Tariq, 11-12]

This cracked layer consists of plates; Australia is one plate and Asia is one plate which is called the Eurasian Plate. When the lava of the earth's core (in the Pacific Ocean) erupted towards the surface, it hit those plates and made them move apart. Upon moving close to each other again, they collided, and the power of this collision equaled one million atomic bombs. That collision took place in the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, which pushed water upward, and that mass of the moving water headed towards the north at a speed close to 1000 kilometers per hour. It kept moving for one hour till it hit the beaches of India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and  it even reached the shores of Africa, Oman, Somalia, Bangladesh and Sumatra.

When the waves (the tsunami) hit the land, its speed was 65 kilometers per hour and its height was 40 meters, sweeping by that the shores and destroying everything in its face. Not to mention, it has claimed 150.000 people so far, and the number is climbing. All speculations indicate that the number might reach 200.000 due to the diseases and the epidemics which are more dangerous than the tsunami itself.

Evidences about Allah's Torment in the worldly life:

Allah says:

﴾Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "O Allah! Possessor of the kingdom﴿

[Aal-'Imran, 26]

When 360.000 people died in the 9/11 events, the world raised hell and wars started against Afghanistan and Iraq, beside the economic besiege, the war against terrorism and many other disasters that followed that date. Some say that the contemporary history is divided into two terms, one before 9/11 and the other is after that date. Arabs and Muslims were accused of the 9/11 event,  so war was declared against them. On the other hand, no one moved a muscle upon the disaster of the tsunami when 200.000 people lost their lives in Asia because of it, given among the causalities there were 10.000 Europeans (5000 from Germany, 1500 from Italy and other Europeans of high class people of Europe). In few minutes, the most beautiful shores on earth and the most luxurious resorts in the world, where everything was expensive and exquisite and where the sun was always shining and the climate was mild and women were half naked, were destroyed.

The unbelievable thing is that no animal was found dead in the tsunami, because animals sense danger ahead of time and they leave the dangerous area because they are Divinely molded to detect danger, and because they are not Divinely assigned,  and  they do not sin. Unlike animals, man is unable to detect all earthquakes ahead of time (even by seconds) despite all the labs, universities and advanced devices he has.

Allah's Torment could be one of three types:

Dear brothers, this disaster (tsunami) is a manifestation of the following Ayah:

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists in the night and the day﴿

[Al-An'am, 13]

No one has seen a tsunami that was disastrous for 300 years. That wave of tsunami had the ability to drift a rock that weighed 20 tons and toss it in the air to a distance of 50 meters. Moreover, when that tsunami wave swept the shores, it took all people in the hotels deep to the ocean and those who survived were very few in numbers (hundreds only), whereas the rest were dead. In fact such as wave is a Divine Torment to the sinners and a test to the believers, because in Indonesia there were believers who died, but their death was just a test to the believers, a warning to the survivals and a torment to the sinners. This is the only Tawheed oriented interpretation which is in harmony with the scientific interpretation. Who ordered those plates to move and collide? He  is the Almighty Allah,  because He is the Creator of causes.

Amid crisis you find the believer and the sinner side by side. For example, a Muslim might be heading to Taiwan to buy fabrics in order to sell them in the Hajj season, and another passenger might be heading there to commit adultery on the same flight, but every person in the plane might die if it crashes. Much in the same line, that  tsunami was a test to the dead believers, a torment to the sinners and a warning to the survivals. Thus, it is ridiculous to consider that earthquake as something  happens normally since this region is an earthquakes prone area, while  this is not true, because 100 years passed and nothing happened.

Syria is a region of potential earthquakes, and I read in a book of history that an earthquake took place in Aleppo once and caused the death of 230.000people. Also, in Damascus an earthquake occurred, and it destroyed the city to such an extent that the Umayyad Masjid needed to be rebuilt. Every place on earth is prone to earthquakes, volcanoes or droughts. Therefore, the believer who survives such crises should reconcile with Allah.

You watched the Omnipotence of Allah, when an earthquake was able to move the island of Sumatra, which is bigger than Syria, 30 meters from its original location. Because of earthquakes, new islands emerged in the sea and other islands split into  two islands affecting by that the movement of the earth.

﴾That is Allah, your Lord, then blessed be Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).﴿

[Ghafir, 64]

Allah's Punishment is manifested Allah's Name "Al-Jabbar":

One of Allah's Names is "The Beautiful", and this name manifests and gives roses their beauty. Also, one of His Names is Al-Jabbar (The Superb Potentate) which manifests and gives earthquakes their destructive power.

﴾Verily, (O Muhammad PBUH) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe* Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection).﴿

[Al-Burooj, 12-13]

The destruction of the tsunami is beyond imagination. Victims and loses are huge in number and thousands of corpses decomposed contaminating  water which made providing people with drinkable water the foremost problem of the government, for the water became undrinkable. Not to mention, there is an urgent need of medication and shelters for 5 million people who have became homeless following the disaster.

And it is He Who feeds but is not fed." Say: "Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)." And be not you (O Muhammad PBUH) of the Mushrikun [polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah]* Say: "I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the torment of a Mighty Day."﴿

 [Al-An'am, 13-15]

Aghadir is a city in Morocco which is located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, and it used to have resorts for the Europeans and nudity clubs where all sorts of shameful major sins were committed. Even the natives Moroccans were forbidden from visiting those resorts because of the nature of the sins committed in them. However, an earthquake which lasted only for seconds turned this city into the same image described in the following Ayah:

﴾"Then He shall leave it as a level smooth plain* "You will see therein nothing crooked or curved."﴿

 [Ta-Ha, 106-107]

Oddly enough, one of the most luxurious hotels in the world which consisted of 30 stories was buried completely under the ground and the last floor with the name of the hotel, was left to be  like the gravestone of the buried hotel:

﴾Verily, (O Muhammad PBUH) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe.﴿

[Al-Burooj, 12]

The Worldly life is the abode of trials:

Dear brothers, people fears one another, while they do not fear the Almighty Allah. Because of this crisis (tsunami), 10.000 Europeans died, and they were among the richest people of Europe, so Whom are they taking enemy? Is that earthquake a terrorist attack? No, it is not. It is the one of Allah's Actions. As the contemporary expression goes, Allah's Signature was all over that disaster and no one can interpret it any other way, but any other incident would easily be ascribed to terrorists and the western world will go on and on accusing this country or that of planning to carry out the act, but no side can be accused of these kind of calamities, for they are Divine Torment.

Dear brothers, in fact these kinds of disasters strongly indicate the Greatness of Allah, and when one of us hears about earthquakes, he will fear Allah more and become more devoted to Him. Nevertheless, and in order to be more accurate one might ask, "Well there are lots of areas on earth where sins are committed in Europe and in other places, so why the Divine Torment does not befall them?" My answer is that the worldly life is the abode of the Divine Test not the abode of judgement. Some people might be afflicted with such destructions in order to be a deterrent to the others, while the righteous  people are Divinely Rewarded to encourage the rest. Hence, if we say that there is wisdom behind the earthquakes and that they are a torment to some people, a test to others and a warning to the survivals, this does not mean in any way that those who were destroyed deserved that torment while others do not. Since we are in the abode of the Divine Test not the abode of judgment, due to Allah's Will, He sometimes chooses a place for the Divine Torment, while other places are awaiting  different kinds of torment, and the proof is in the following Ayah:

﴾And there is not a town (population) but We shall destroy it before the Day of Resurrection, or punish it with a severe torment. That is written in the Book (of our Decrees)﴿

 [Al-Isra', 58]

Some of Allah's Actions can be ascribed to an earthly party:

Allah says:

﴾Say: "He has power to send torment on you from above﴿

[Al-An'am, 65]

The torment from above is the thunderbolt which hits a house and burns everybody in it, and it could be the missiles, thermo-bombs, cluster bombs, atomic bombs and smart bombs which are launched from one side of the earth in order to hit the furthest other side by using computers.

﴾Say: "He has power to send torment on you from above or from under your feet﴿

[Al-An'am, 65]

The torment from under our feet is the earthquakes, volcanoes and mines.

﴾Or to cover you with confusion in party strife, and make you to taste the violence of one another.﴿

[Al-An'am, 65]

The strives are manifested in  what is going on in Iraq and Palestine, which are but some  of Allah's Actions like the natural disasters, and these actions are mistakenly ascribed to this or that party. However, the torment of Allah sometimes is very obvious that no one can ascribe it to any party other than Allah.

﴾That is Allah, your Lord, then blessed be Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).﴿

 [Ghafir, 64]

True success is to follow Allah's Method:

Allah says:

﴾Say: "I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the torment of a Mighty Day."﴿

[Al-An'am, 15]

The one who does not fear Allah is a person whose comprehension and Tawheed are weak:

﴾Say: "I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the torment of a Mighty Day."* Who is averted from (such a torment) on that Day, (Allah) has surely been Merciful to him. And that would be the obvious success.﴿

[Al-An'am, 15-16]

Ask yourself dear brother, what are the standards of your success? Well, let the question be what are the standards of success in your subconscious? When exactly do you feel that you succeed, win and prosper? When do you feel that you are clever and prudent? If man's standards are tangible, he will consider himself successful when he earns astronomical amount of money, when he is married to a very beautiful wife, when he occupies a very high position or when he enjoys life. Pay attention to what Allah, the Great and All-Aware says to you:

﴾Who is averted from (such a torment) on that Day, (Allah) has surely been Merciful to him. And that would be the obvious success.﴿

[Al-An'am, 16]

This means that the real success is achieved in the Hereafter not in the worldly life. Imam Ali, may Allah honor his face said, "Real richness and poverty come after being judged before Allah". The real success is to survive the painful Divine Torment in the Hereafter, to follow the Path of Allah in the worldly life, to make our actions in life in harmony with Allah's Orders and Bans, to get acquainted with Allah, to obey Him, to draw close to Him and to offer good deeds. This is the real big success.

﴾Who is averted from (such a torment) on that Day, (Allah) has surely been Merciful to him.﴿

[Al-An'am, 16]

Before talking about the success of earning the everlasting delights of Paradise, we should talk about the success of averting from Hellfire on the Day of Resurrection, for this is the great success.

﴾And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing).﴿

[Aal-'Imran, 185]

Allah's Bestowal is everlasting:

The worldly life ends with death, and death puts an end to the richness of the rich, the poverty of the poor, the power of the powerful, the weakness of the weak, the health of the healthy, the illness of the ill, the beauty of the beautiful and the ugliness of the ugly, for all of these people are going to die, and they will all stand on equal footing in front of death. However, death does not put an end to Allah's Bestowal, for His Bestowal is real, it is everlasting and it continues till after death. Always remember what the Prophet PBUH said:

((The world is like a carcass, the seekers after the worldly gains degrade their souls to associate with dogs.))

It was reported in the relic:

((This life is the abode of those who have no abode and the wealth of those who have no wealth, and it is sought by those who lack reasoning))

[Ahmad in his Musnad and Baihaqi by Aishah by Ibn Mas'ood]

Life does not always smiles to us, and Allah has ordered life to serve those who serve Him and to use those who serve their mundane interests. Life does not always smile to people, so  those who are rich might suffer deep worries, because they fear dying and leaving their wealth behind, or they fear that their wealth will vanish one day. In life, the rich man might become poor and the healthy one might become sick by being afflicted with  a cancerous brain tumor which causes his death. Life is not always in the favor of man, for death or the vanishing of wealth is awaiting him.

((Anas Radiyallahu 'Ahu reports that when Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam was experiencing severe illness, Faatimah Radiyallahu 'Anha said: "Haai, the sickness of my father". Nabi Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam thereupon said: "After this day your father will not experience any difficulties.))

Bilal bin Rabah said before he died, "Tomorrow we meet the loved ones, Muhammad and his companions". Allah casts light into the heart of the believer which is enough for the population of an entire country. Allah says:

﴾And to Him belongs whatsoever exists in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."* Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Shall I take as a Wali (helper, protector, etc.) any other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? And it is He Who feeds but is not fed." Say: "Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)." And be not you (O Muhammad PBUH) of the Mushrikun [polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah]* Say: "I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the torment of a Mighty Day."* Who is averted from (such a torment) on that Day, (Allah) has surely been Merciful to him. And that would be the obvious success.﴿

[Al-An'am, 13-16]

We will go on with these Ayat  next lecture insha' Allah.
