Ramadan Hadiths- (21): Value of the last ten days of Ramadan

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

(When the last ten nights of Ramadan began, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) stayed up at night (for prayer) and he woke his family up and tightened his waist-wrap.)

[Agreed upon]

This Hadith indicates that the last ten days of Ramadan are days of competition, and thus man should not get himself busy even in lawful things.
The last ten days of Ramadan are coming soon, and the Prophet PBUH used to strive more in worship during these days; he used to wake up his family and tighten his waist-wrap. Actually, during Ramadan the Noble Prophet used to strive in worship  more than he did in the other months of the year.
As for you, pay attention to your behavior and watch your own household:
Is there any shortcoming?
Is there any sin committed?
Do you watch indecent shows?
Do you look at unlawful things?
Do you backbite anyone?
Do you lie in buying and selling?
Do you deceive Muslims?
Do you earn unlawful money?
Keep in mind that if you seek whatever is halal (lawful), Allah will enlighten your heart.
Ramadan is an opportunity that comes once every year, and we are starting the last ten days of this month, so let our Siyaam (fasting) be special by refraining from whatever is haram (forbidden). Better yet, let our Siyaam be the one of the most special, namely, we leave everything except Allah.
We have the Noble Quran in our hands in which there are the news of ancient nations and the nations to come, the Ayaat that are not interpreted yet, the laws of life and the keys of happiness, serenity and drawing close to Allah.
