Fearing Allah (Piety):
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, the Faithful and the Honest.
Dear noble brothers, Allah the Almighty says:
(And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).)
I would like to tell you the story which one of the scholars of Damascus told me:
A student whom the scholar did not know came to him and said, "I am one of the students who attend your lessons. I do not have enough money, I have no prominent profession, and I do not have a house. I am 23 years old, and I have no hope that I may get married in the 50 years to come. What should I do?" The scholar replied, "Fear Allah." The student said, "Are you kidding me?" The scholar said, "O son, this is the advice I have for you."
The young man left after that impolite attitude towards his teacher. He was an employee in a store and he used to work in it as if it were his own store. He used to be punctual, so he came to work on time. Also, he started to treat the customers in a very professional way, doing his best to convince them to buy the commodity. The store's owner was astonished about the manners of the punctual employee who helped in making the selling good and in increasing the profits. Furthermore, he never wasted time under the pretext of going to the Masjid to perform Salah. Instead, he used to spend only 8 minutes to perform his Salah. This was what caught the attention of the owner's store who watched his manners for more than one year. He noticed how pious the employee was, and that he feared Allah at work.
The store's owner had a beautiful young daughter, and he thought that the employee could be the best husband for her. He bought a house in a high class neighborhood in Damascus (Kafar Susah), and one day he said to him, "I would like you to choose the ceramic for the house I bought." The young man did not know what was going on in the mind of the father, but after the house was finished, he told the young man, "This house is yours. I would like you to be my daughter's husband." I repeat the Ayah:
(And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).)
Dear noble brothers, pay attention to the following Hadith, please:
(Mu'adh bin Jabal (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I was riding a pillion with the Prophet (peace be upon him) on a donkey. He (peace be upon him) said, "O Mu'adh, do you know what is the right of Allah upon His slaves, and what is the Right of His slaves upon Allah?" I said: "Allah and His Messenger know better". Upon this the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Allah's Right upon His slaves is that they should worship Him Alone and associate nothing with Him; and His slaves' right upon Him is that He should not punish who does not associate a thing with Him."…)
I would like to address you O young men: Allah, Exalted and Sublime be He, gives you a right upon Him. If you open Al-Jami' As-Sagheer, you will find a chapter about the right of the father upon his child, the right of the child upon his father, the right of the husband upon his wife, the right of the wife upon her husband and so on. One of the Ahadeeth about the rights will make you speechless; it is about some rights of the believer upon Allah the Almighty, and one of them is that if he intends to get married, Allah will help him ("There are three who are promised the help of Allah: The Mukatab (the slave who has made a contract of manumission) who wants to buy his freedom, the one who gets married seeking to keep himself chaste, and the Mujahid who fights in the cause of Allah"). Keep this in mind, O young men.
Dear brothers, Allah the Almighty says:
(And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).)
Du'a:
Allah the Almighty says:
(…"Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqun" (pious).)
I beseech You O Allah to help every single young man get a righteous wife who pleases him when he looks at her, remains chaste when he is absent and obeys him when he orders her.
As-Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh (May Allah's Peace, Blessings and Mercy be upon you).
