Lesson 18 – "Fear Allah, and believe too in His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), He will give you a double portion of His Mercy"

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Dear noble brothers, we are discussing a new lesson of this series about the Ayaat that start with, "O you who believe…", and today's Ayah is:

(O you who believe (in Moosa (Moses) (i.e. Jews) and Iesa (Jesus) (i.e. Christians))! Fear Allah, and believe too in His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), He will give you a double portion of His Mercy, and He will give you a light by which you shall walk (straight), and He will forgive you. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.)

[Al-Hadid, 28]

(O you who believe (in Moosa (Moses) (i.e. Jews) and Iesa (Jesus) (i.e. Christians))! Fear Allah,)

[Al-Hadid, 28]
Fearing Allah means to obey His Orders, abstain from His prohibitions and believe in His Messenger (i.e. Muhammad PBUH). In fact, believing in His Messenger entails believing in his Sunnah which represents the interpretation of the Quran to help people  know what Allah sends to them in the Quran.
You should believe in Sunnah, because it is from the infallible (i.e. Muhammad PBUH), and because it is a Divine Way of life.
The Divine Order "Fear Allah" means: beware of disobeying Allah and believe in His Messenger's instructions.

(He will give you a double portion of His Mercy,)

[Al-Hadid, 28]

I will not be exaggerating if I say that this mercy is not only in this worldly life but also in the Hereafter, and both kinds of mercy are connected. The blessings in believers' lives are  bestowed upon them in the worldly life and are linked with the blessings of the Hereafter.
Is there any one who does not wish to be healthy in his body, to have a clean house, to have a coherent family, to have an income that makes ends meet, to have a good reputation, and to be admitted to Paradise? Who is it that does not wish all that?

(He will give you a double portion of His Mercy,)

[Al-Hadid, 28]

Allah will give him Mercy in the worldly life and Mercy in the Hereafter.
