Lesson 19 – " Fear Allah and keep your duty to Him. And let every person look to what he has sent forth for the morrow,…"

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Dear noble brothers, we are discussing a new lesson of this series about the Ayaat that start with, "O you who believe…", and today's Ayah is:

(O you who believe! Fear Allah and keep your duty to Him. And let every person look to what he has sent forth for the morrow, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what you do. And be not like those who forgot Allah (i.e. became disobedient to Allah) and He caused them to forget their ownselves, (let them to forget to do righteous deeds). Those are the Fasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).)

[Al-Hashr, 18-19]

This Ayah is related to the future. Can anyone of us, me included, wake up every day the same as the day before? This is impossible. One day there will be pain from a fatal disease which will be man's gate to exit life. This disease might be in the heart, in the brain, in the kidney or in the liver, or it might be an accident, but certainly it will be the gate to exit life.

Thinking about this gate is one thing but being in it is totally different. It is easy to think about death when man's health is intact, but if, Allah forbid, man becomes very close to death, unable to talk or think, it is very hard then. Accordingly, heroism lies in living this moment, namely the moment of the future (when death comes), thus this Ayah is related to future:
