Islamic Creed- Names of Allah- Names of Allah in Brief Lesson (22-30): Al-Khallaq (the Supreme Creator)

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Al-Khallaq is one of Allah's Most Beautiful Names:

We are discussing the manifestations of Al-Khallaq (the Supreme Creator) in Ramadan.

The Ayat in which Al-Khallaq is mentioned:

This Name indicates praising Allah, Exalted and Sublime be He, in the following Ayah as the Only Supreme Creator:

(Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator)

[Al-Hijr, 86]

The same goes for the following Ayah:

(Is not He, Who created the heavens and the Earth Able to create the like of them? Yes, Indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator.)

[Ya-Sin, 81]

The meaning of Al-Khlallaq:

Al-Khalaq is the exaggerated form of Al-Khaliq (Creator). Allah the Almighty has created everything from nothing and without copying any one in creation. However, Allah, Exalted and Sublime be He, lets man be given this Name since He says:

(So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators.)

[Al-Mu'minun, 14]

Man can make something from everything, and he can imitate others in doing so. For instance, he uses the raw materials on earth, and he sees the things he wants to invent before him with his own eyes. The Creator of the heavens and the earth, on the other hand, creates everything from nothing and without copying the creation of others.

Allah the Almighty has created for man two small kidneys which function silently all the time, and they never stop while man is walking, moving, travelling, and residing, etc. without paying any cost. One the other hand, the artificial kidney is as big as the table, and the patient who has renal failure should sleep on bed for hours while the artificial kidney is working. Furthermore, he has to go to the hospital three times, and he pays lots of money every time. In addition, the way the artificial kidney works is painful unlike the kidney that Allah has created.

Consider the difference between the camera and the eye; in every millimeter there are 10.000 photoreceptors in the camera, whereas there are more than 100 million photoreceptor cells in every millimeter of the eye.

(So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators.)

[Al-Mu'minun, 14]

Al-Khallaq means the One Who creates things perfectly, and Al-Khallaq means the limitless creating; the creation of Allah, Exalted and sublime be He, has no limits.

(And there is not a thing, but with Us are the stores thereof. And We send it not down except in a known measure.)

[Al-Hijr, 21]

Accordingly, when Allah reduces the provision of man, He never does that because He cannot provide him with more provision, but rather He intends to discipline him. Allah the Almighty says:

(If they (non-Muslims) had believed in Allah, and went on the Right Way (i.e. Islam) We should surely have bestowed on them water (rain) in abundance. That We might try them thereby.)

[Al-Jinn, 16-17]

Conclusion:

Once, I read a scientific article about a big cloud in the outer space that can fill all the oceans on the earth 60 times a day with fresh water.

In fact, mankind agree on the concept of Lordship, and even those who worship idols will say as Allah the Almighty narrates in the following Ayah:

(And if you (O Muhammad PBUH) ask them: "Who has created the heavens and the earth," they will certainly say: "Allah.")

 [Luqman, 25]

Why do they worship idols, then?

("We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allah.")

 [Az-Zumar, 3]

We conclude that the only Party that should be obeyed is the Creating One. Allah the Almighty says:

(O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allah), Who created you)

[Al-Baqarah, 21]

Lordship means bestowing, creating, honoring and giving. It also means disciplining in enjoining, forbidding, Halal (lawful) and Haram (unlawful).
