Surat Al-An'am (006) : Lesson (13-73) - Aya 46 - Intellect, Limbs and Graces

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Praise be to Allah, the Lord (the One and Only) of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Master, Prophet Muhammad, the Truthful and the Faithful. O Allah, we know nothing but what You teach us, You are the All- Knower, the Wise. O Allah our Lord, teach us what is useful for us, let us make use of what You have taught us and advance us in knowledge. O Allah, show us the righteous things as righteous and help us do them, and show us the bad things as bad and help us keep away from them.  O Allah our Lord, make us amongst those who listen to the Word and follow the best meaning of It, and admit us, by Your Grace, to the ranks of Your righteous servants.
Dear brothers, this is lesson 13 of interpreting Surat Al-An'am.

Hearing, sight and intellect are means to know Allah:

I will start with interpreting the Ayah number 46, where Allah says:

﴾ Say (to the disbelievers): "Tell me, if Allah took away your hearing and your sight, and sealed up your hearts, who is there - an ilah (a god) other than Allah who could restore them to you?" See how variously We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), yet they turn aside. ﴿

[ Al-An'am, 46 ]

Dear brothers, man is granted prosperity when he realizes the wisdom behind the systems Divinely installed in his body. Allah has given man the eyes, the tongue, the lips, the ears, the mind and the intellect, and man should know why he has all these systems in his body. Thus, he should see with his eyes the signs which indicate the Greatness of Allah, he should listen with his ears to the truth recited to him and he should use his reasoning to know the purpose of his existence. These graces, i.e. the hearing, the sight and the intellect, are the means to know Allah the Almighty within which lies the secret of the everlasting happiness.
Dear brothers, we are given unredeemable chance to gain everlasting happiness. Accordingly, the one who is oblivious  to the fact that  he is the foremost creature who has been given his senses and physical systems to be means in his hands to get acquainted with Allah the Almighty, the one who uses his eyes to look at what does not please Allah, the one who uses his ears to listen to falsehood and the one who uses his reasoning and intelligence in that which he has  not been created for will miss that fat chance.
Take for example a color printer. Someone might use it to design calendars, books and countless variety of things and make lots of profits out of it, and someone else might use it to make counterfeit money, which will send him to jail, because he uses this machine for purposes the printer is not manufactured for.

When you worship Allah as if you see Him, you are in the highest rank of worship:

The question is:

﴾ Have We not made for him a pair of eyes?  ﴿

[  Al-Balad, 8 ]

As for the eye of the human being, by Allah the Only Deity, minds are bewildered because of the perfect creation of the eye. I have mentioned before that the most advanced digital complicated professional camera has only 10.000 light receptors per 1 square millimeter, whereas the human eye has 100 million light receptors per 1 square millimeter. This is why the accuracy of the human eye is amazing to such an extent that it can differentiate between about 10 million colors and 800 shades of each color. Besides, there are wonders about  the combination of the two eyes' images and uniting them into one image, and there are wonders about the osmosis which is the retina's nutrition. In fact, what I have mentioned about the creation of the eye so far is just one out of billion of wonders.

﴾ Have We not made for him a pair of eyes? ﴿

Will it be rational that man would use these wondrous eyes to look at Haram matters? Allah has given you those eyes, so that you can use them in looking at the wonders Allah has given us and created for us. Have you forgotten that  Allah Who has created those wondrous eyes for us to see with them, sees us?

﴾ Thinks he that none sees him? ﴿

[ Al-Balad, 7 ]

﴾ Have We not made for him a pair of eyes? ﴿

Does the One Who bestowed those eyes upon man, not see him? The best of faith is when man knows that Allah is watching over him wherever he is. Furthermore, when you worship Allah as if you see Him, this is considered the highest ranks of worship. Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ Say (to the disbelievers): "Tell me, if Allah took away your hearing and your sight, ﴿

[  Al-An'am, 46 ]

The language is another grace bestowed upon us by Allah, Allah says:

﴾ The Most Beneficent (Allah)!* Has taught (you mankind) the Qur'an (by His Mercy)* He created man* He taught him eloquent speech. ﴿

[  Ar-Rahman, 1-4 ]

One word is enough to make other people understand you. Can you imagine a country with no language? In this case if I want to say something to people what will I do? If I want to impose curfew, and I have 17 million people in my country, I have to use 17 million policemen to push people inside their houses. However, by using the language I can broadcast an announcement in one minute about enforcing the martial law, and you will not find anyone in streets. What is the means to communicate with others? It is the language.

Allah has taught man the communication skills out of honoring him:

Allah honors man since He has taught him the language with which one can express his thoughts and feelings and with which he knows how others feel and think. By using the language, you receive accrued experience through generations, and you learn about the scientific breakthroughs invented and discovered by other nations. Hence, Allah's Favor upon man is very great by teaching him the language.

﴾ Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists)* Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood)* Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous* Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch) PBUH],  ﴿

[ Al-Alaq, 1-4 ]

Allah has given us the eyes and the ears, so millions of people can hear someone directly when he speaks because of language. Language in its most accurate definitions is the means of communication between the members of one species, it is the means of expression, the means of mutual contribution and the means of man's exaltation.  People write down their knowledge in books to be stored throughout history, and the accumulated knowledge passed cultures from one generation to another till it reached us. Whatever Imam Al-Qurtibi said 1000  years ago, reached us because of language, and had it not been for language, knowledge would have never been saved, and we would have never benefited from it.
Hence, why has Allah given us intellect, and the senses of hearing and sight? He has given us these means, so that we will believe in Him, and by believing in Him, we will gain happiness in being close to Him in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. When man realizes the purpose of his existence in the worldly life, which is to know Allah, only then man will know everything else, but when man misses knowing Allah, he will miss everything else. When man realizes that this worldly life is nothing but a golden chance to get everlasting indescribable everlasting happiness, he will be keen on seizing this chance.

(( Allah said: "I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen and no ear has heard, nor has it occurred to human heart. Thus recite if you wish (1): And no soul knows what joy for them (the inhabitants of Paradise) has been kept hidden (Quran Chapter 32 Verse 17). ))

[ Agreed upon by Abi Hurairah ]

We should use our intellect and instincts in what they have been created for:

Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ Say (to the disbelievers): "Tell me, if Allah took away your hearing and your sight ﴿

[ Al-An'am, 46 ]

The deaf is mute in general. When the child is raised in any environment, after a while he will be able to understand everything around him and to speak everything. Man is able to see and to hear, and his hearing and sight are his windows to the outside world, whereas his intellect is the means to receive all sounds and images, to analyze them, to decode them and to understand them.  Allah says:

﴾ Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those you will be questioned (by Allah).  ﴿

[ Al-Isra', 36 ]

The point that I would like to make it clear to you is that you should use your senses to serve  the purpose they have been created for, and you should use your intellect to serve the purpose it has been created for. In the brain there are 140 billion gray cells whose functions are still unknown, and in the cerebral cortex there are 14 billion cells where unimaginable processes take place. Reasoning is in the forehead, and there are the centers of hearing, sight, smelling, judging and deduction. Moreover, the intellectual processes which take place in the brain are beyond belief.
I read in a scientific article that man's brain was open and the center of memory was boosted by a very weak electrical current, and the brain was able to recall 30 years old memories. When they gave a stronger current the memories turned into images. Till now, the brain itself is incapable of figuring out how it works, and it is considered the most complicated system in man's body.
Dear brothers, Allah bestows upon us hearing, sight and memory center, which is not bigger than a grain of lentil, yet it can save 60 billion images through man's lifetime, so we should be grateful to Him.

Out of honoring man, Allah bestowed upon him some of His Divine Attributes:

Also, I mentioned before, Allah the Almighty honored man by enduing him some of His Exalted Attributes, such as making him peerless. Every human being is unique, and his iris manifests his uniqueness since none on earth has the same iris as his. The uniqueness of man's iris is used nowadays in counter terrorism procedures. Thus, if someone enters a western country, the first thing they do is to take a photo of his iris, and it is put on his passport. In this case, the passport cannot be forged.
Furthermore, locks which are opened by the individual iris have been made, so only one person on earth can open this lock (i.e. the owner of it). As a human being no one on earth is like you, because of your iris. The same goes for man's tone; each person has his own and unmatchable tone, also man's skin has an unmatchable scent. A woman in Jahiliyyah advised her daughter on her wedding day saying, ""and water is better than the rarest perfume ", and this has been proved by now, for the skin of every person has a nice scent. If the skin is clean, its scent will be acceptable and great without perfumes, provided man keeps it clean.
The scent of man is used by police dogs to find the criminals or the missing. Dogs are given a sense of smell that is one million times better than the one of mankind. Thus, if you give a dog something that touched the skin of someone, the dog is able to find him even if he is among hundreds of thousands of people, and even if he is very far from the dog. Hence, the scent of man, his tone, his iris and his fingerprint give him peculiarity and individuality.
A criminal who was addicted to committing crimes removed his fingers' skin and implanted a skin from his feet. However, two months later, his old fingerprints appeared on the new implanted skin. A lawyer I know said to me once, "Make sure to have the fingerprint of the other party in every contract you sign." I asked, "Why is that?"He answered, "Your signature can be forged. Also the other party can say that this is not his signature, and because of such a claim man can go through lawsuits in courts for ten years to prove that the signature is true, while man's fingerprint cannot be forged. While trying to match one fingerprint to 100.000 fingerprints to see if there are two persons who have identical fingerprints, experts marked every fingerprint with 100 points to run the matching, and they found out that no two persons have the same 7 points in their fingerprints, and if they do, then they belong to one person, and this indicates that you are unique by your fingerprint.
According to scientific studies, every individual has his own tissue type, and when someone needs to implant a kidney, the body will reject it if it is not of the same tissue type. No one on earth has the same tissue type of yours, and this tissue type is different from the blood type. Man is also peculiar in his blood plasma which is the fluid within which the red blood cells swim, and it is also unmatchable. Therefore, in order to honor man, Allah has made him unique (among other human beings).

Out of honoring man, Allah allowed him to legislate laws and to be creative:

If we read the following Hadith, we can understand it in the light of the recent scientific findings:

(( Abu Hurairah reported Allah's Messenger (PBUH) as saying: "When any one of you fights with his brother, he should avoid his face for Allah created Adam in His own image." ))

[ Al-Bukhari and An-Nasa'i by Abi Hurairah ]

Accordingly, you are the foremost creature, you are created for a Paradise which is as wide as the heavens and the earth, and the worldly life is the abode of striving not the abode of wishes, and it is the abode of the Divine Assignment to mankind not the abode of gracing. Your Divinely bestowed oneness is manifested in being allowed by Allah to legislate laws derived from the Quranic texts which are Zanniyat Ad-Dalalh (Ayat which include multi-indications), so the respectful knowledgeable scholars are allowed to derive minor religious rulings from major religious texts.
Allah has honored man by giving him creativity. Scientists have been able to grow a black rose by crossbreeding different kinds of roses. In fact most of the plants we eat are the outcome of genetically crossbreeding. Scientists take for example the gene of resisting cold weather from one plant, and the gene of growing heavy crops from another, and the gene of continuous bearing from a third and then they put them all in one plant to have the best of them all. Therefore, Allah allowed man to be creative through genes.
In the nuclear of every cell of your body, you have 30.000 or more different genes, spread out on very long strands of DNA called "chromosomes." Half of those, 23, came from the mother's egg, and 23 came from father's sperm. Every gene has millions of small chemicals called bases, and only 30 genes have been discovered so far. There are 9.000 genetic diseases. The claims that man's tendencies to the same sex are because of genes has been refuted by science, and now it has been proven that homosexuality and being pervert have nothing to do with genes, but it is a full intentionally action.
As for the hearing sense: By Allah, the ear is one of the Divine Wonders in the human body. How can man differentiate between noise and music? Man cannot stand the scratching sound of a piece of glass under the door, whereas he can stand the sound of Niagara Falls without being annoyed. Also, man accepts the burbling sound of a brook.
The fact that man can differentiate between noise and music is still mysterious to scientists. There is no device on earth that can function as the eardrum. The low-pitched sounds are magnified by eardrum, and the loud sounds are lowered by it. This function is done without even man notices it. The ear has the eardrum and tunnel, so the question here, what is the difference between receiving sounds by the ear and interpreting them? If you sit between two Persian men who are speaking Farsi, you will get sounds only, but if you sit between two Arabs, you will understand the words, tones, thoughts and even sentiments. You understand whatever they say.

Success lies in using man's senses and limbs in what they are created for:

There is something amazing in man's ear which is called "selectivity". Sit with a close friend in a room, put a recorder close to the window and start chatting with him for an hour. Then ask him, "What are the sounds you received from the street?" He will say, "I received no sounds". Despite the fact that there were sounds of car horn, sellers, collision may be and other sounds, the ear of your close friend selected the sounds it wants only and blocked the others. If you replay the recorder you put by the window, you will hear all the sounds you blocked. This indicates accuracy in creation. Allah says:

﴾ The Work of Allah, Who perfected all things ﴿

[ An-Naml, 88 ]

Also, Allah says:

﴾ It is He, Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), sight (eyes).﴿

[ Al-Mu'minun, 78 ]

Your ear is created to listen to the truth, your eye is created to see the signs which indicate the Greatness of Allah and your intellect is created to know Allah the Almighty. Thus, your success lies in using these senses to serve  the purpose they were created for. Allah says:

﴾ Say (to the disbelievers): "Tell me, if Allah took away your hearing and your sight, and sealed up your hearts, who is there - an ilah (a god) other than Allah who could restore them to you?" See how variously We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), yet they turn aside. ﴿

[ Al-An'am, 46 ]

The graces given to mankind are priceless:

Allah the Almighty says:

﴾ Say (O Muhammad PBUH) : "The knowledge (of its exact time) is with Allah only,  ﴿

[ Al-Mulk, 26 ]

Who among you owns his sight? A friend of mine came from France with a very high scientific degree, and he occupied a very important and powerful position. He got married to a French woman, and he lived in a very luxurious neighborhood in Damascus, so he led a very extravagance life. One day he lost his sight, and out of courtesy they did not want to dismiss him from his work, so he stayed at home for couple of months and a mailman used to bring him his mail and received his instructions. After a while, he was dismissed. He said to his friend, "By Allah, I wish that I were a beggar on the streets having a coat only and asking people for money, but my sight would be regained". Hence, the two eyes are a priceless grace, and so are the ears and the intellect.
Once I was invited to a celebration of the anniversary of the Prophet's birthday which took place in Al-Ghutah. Suddenly, an insane man started yelling, cursing, badmouthing and blaspheming the religion and all the people in that assembly, so they canceled the celebration. Upon leaving I said to myself, "O Lord, what is the wisdom behind having an insane man in such a celebration?" Then I answered myself, "Well, the wisdom is to know the value of our sanity."
The sane man says the proper words and stops talking at the right time, gets angry at the right moment, and forbear others at the right time and he raises his children wisely. Sanity is a priceless grace. Hence, Allah the Almighty draws the attention of man to the graces of hearing, sight and intellect. By the way, the brain can be called intellect, but reasoning can be located in the spiritual heart, not the pine-cone shaped heart muscle which pumps blood, for Allah says:

﴾ They have hearts wherewith they understand not. ﴿

[ Al-A'raf, 179 ]

﴾ See how variously We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), yet they turn aside.  ﴿

[ Al-An'am, 46 ]

"Yasdifoon" means to turn away from the truth towards falsehood.

The acquired immunity system in man's body owns six squads:

O man, since we are talking about Allah's Signs in creating mankind, do you know that there is an entire army in the full sense of the word in your body? This army is called the acquired immunity system, and it has six groups: The first one is the signal corps through which the other five groups communicate with one another.
The second group is the investigation group, and the most important role of this group is to collect information. If a harmful alien enters the human body, they copy the chemical code of the intruder and hand it to the third group. The task of the third group is manufacturing weapons. After the alien invades the body, this unit goes to the lymph node and manufactures the weapon, given the lymph nodes have a miraculous memory. If it manufactures a weapon against any germ, and then man is cured by using that weapon, the lymph node keeps the properties of this weapon in a file, so in case this same germ comes back, its file is already there and ready.
Had it not been for these lymph nodes, vaccination would have been worthless. What is vaccination? When we give a child the vaccine of Cholera, we actually are giving him a little bit of Cholera germ that is weak or dead, and thus the lymph nodes manufacture the antidote of that germ and keep it in a file. As a result, if this germ comes back after 70 years, its file and antidote are ready. The task of the fourth unit is to fight. The fifth unit is the army corps of engineers and the sixth unit is for services, and it cleans up the battlefield of the dead bodies by devouring them.

The acquired immunity system is strengthened by love and security, and it is weakened by fear and anxiety:

Sometimes when there is an inflammation in the skin, a white fluid can be noticed under the skin (pus), and this fluid is nothing but the dead bodies of the battle. The incredible thing is that there is a gland located under the chest bone next to the heart which is as small as a chickpea, and it is called the thymus. For two decades, all medical references considered it a functionless gland, and that was what students of the Faculty of Medicine were taught. However, according to the latest research, this gland is the most dangerous gland in the human body. What is the function of this gland?
It is actually a military school in which strong wrestlers are trained and prepared. Therefore, it trains the fourth unite in the immune system which is the fighting unit. The soldiers of this fighting unit are initially uneducated T-cells, but lethally equipped, and thus they were called by scientists "naive T-cells", but after being admitted to this military school (thymus gland) for two years, these cells will be taught to recognize the friend and the enemy. After spending two years in this military school there must be a test, the first test is to give this matured T-cell an enemy, so if it kills it, it will pass the test and graduate, but if it does not, it will fail and will be killed. The second test is to give it a friendly cell, so if it kills it, it will fail and will be killed, but if it does not kill it, it will pass and graduate from the military school. These T-cells graduate from the military school after two years, following that, this school will be closed, and the gland will shrink and disappear.
After passing the age 60 or 70 or even 50, the teaching procedures weaken in man's body, and man will be afflicted with "feeble immunity". According to it, the cells which own the lethal weapons might attack the friendly cells (because of the weak teaching). Consequently, a civil war starts after the age 60 in man's body, and the powerful cells hit the weak ones causing seven kinds of serious diseases, among which is rheumatoid arthritis.
Dear brothers, this acquired immune system is remotely controlled, and as I mentioned earlier it has six squads, but  the new thing which was discovered in the late 1970s about this immunity system is that some of the cells of this system (in the fighting squad) are predisposed to kill abnormal cells (cancerous cells) before they display any kind of abnormality, and they devour them at early stages.
The most recent research indicates that man's body already has billions of cancerous cells, but each one of these cells is suppressed (by those fighting cells) and is prevented from harming the body. What weakens the suppressor? Actually, four things do: They are stress, fear, anxiety and grudge. Thus, Tawheed (believing in the Allah's Monotheism) is a healthy thing, and the Muwahhid (the believer) bears no grudge against anyone, and he has no worries.

﴾ Say: "Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allah has ordained for us.﴿

[ At-Taubah, 51 ]

Hence, this system is strengthened by love and security and is weakened by fear and anxiety.

The believer has no doubts of the Divine Victory even though it might be delayed:

There is a suppressor for every cancerous cell in the body, and the stress, which is the result of Shirk, weakens this suppressor. Allah says:

﴾ So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment.  ﴿

[  Ash-Shu'ara, 213 ]

Allah the Almighty says in another Ayah:

﴾ And to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad) and put your trust in Him  ﴿

[  Hud, 123 ]

He also says:

﴾ And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Qur'an Verse 35:45). ﴿

[  Ash-Shura, 30 ]

Stress is the most dangerous element to the immunity system. How many people have got intractable diseases upon receiving bad news? The weak immunity system helps  the cancerous cell set itself free (from being suppressed), and the reason of that is stress, and stress is the outcome of Shirk (polytheism).
The Prophet PBUH taught us through his biography how our trust in Allah should be. He was chased by every person on the peninsula, he was threatened of being killed and a reward of 100 camels would be given to the one who would bring him alive or dead, but when he was followed by Suraqah, the Prophet PBUH said:

(( O Suraqah, how will you fell when you wear  Kisra's bracelets? ))

What does this prophetic promise mean? It means that the Prophet PBUH would become victorious, would establish an Islamic state, would fight and defeat the most powerful state at that time, would have control over all the treasures of Kisra in the Madinah, and Suraqah would get the bracelets of Kisra. This indicates that the believer has no doubts that Allah's Victory will come sooner or later.

﴾ So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers.  ﴿

[ Aal-'Imran, 139 ]

Let me tell you dear brothers the following: The gravest danger against us, as Muslims, is to be defeated from inside, to lose our trust in Allah's Mercy and to say, "We are done. Our enemies are very strong, and they have the upper hand concerning everything, so it is over".  I say, no it is not, and we are just being Divinely tested:

﴾ So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers. ﴿

Also, the suppressors of cancerous cells are weakened by petroleum. Thus, whoever works in petroleum business or deal with its derivatives, and he eats without washing his hands properly, will get traces of petroleum in his stomach, and these substances weaken the immunity system.
Among the substances which weaken the immunity system is plastic when it is used to put hot food or citrus or after skimming plastic bowls, which means that this plastic  reaches your stomach either by skimming it with a knife, and so parts of it are swallowed, or it reaches your stomach after a chemical reaction occurs due to heat or acid. In addition to these substances, the fourth substance which weakens the immunity system is the nuclear radiation.

Affection and security are the fruits of faith:

Dear brothers, the acquired immunity system is a creation of Allah, and it is strengthened by love and security which are the fruits of faith.

﴾ (So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know."* It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided.﴿

[  Al-An'am, 81-82 ]

Security is exclusively dedicated to them. By Allah, the awaiting perils for Muslims are countless, so are the threats of the powerful countries against the Muslim world. Needless to say, the weapons our enemies have are fatal. Yet, we are soothed by Allah the Almighty since he tells us that everything is in His Hand:

﴾ And to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad PBUH) and put your trust in Him. ﴿

[ Hud, 123 ]

﴾ It is He (Allah) Who is the only Ilah (God to be worshipped) in the heaven and the only Ilah (God to be worshipped) on the earth. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower.  ﴿

[  Az-Zukhruf, 84 ]

Allah also says:

﴾ They have no Wali (Helper, Disposer of affairs, Protector, etc.) other than Him, and He makes none to share in His Decision and His Rule." ﴿

[  Al-Kahf, 26 ]

Allah says:

﴾ The Hand of Allah is over their hands. ﴿

[  Al-Fath, 10 ]

Allah also says:

﴾ And you (Muhammad PBUH) threw not when you did throw but Allah threw. ﴿

[  Al-Anfal, 17 ]

We are in dire need of Tawheed (monotheism) and of believing that Allah's Hand is the One in charge:

Dear brothers, nowadays we are in dire need of Tawheed in order to believe beyond doubt that Only Allah's Hand controls this universe:

﴾ Not a leaf falls, but he knows it. ﴿

[  Al-An'am, 59 ]

Since Allah knows about every leaf which falls, then with greater reason we can say that not a bomb is thrown, not a rocket is launched and not an earthquake that happens but Allah knows it. Pay attention to what Allah says when Musa PBUH was in the box in water:

﴾ And We inspired the mother of Musa (Moses), (saying): "Suckle him [Musa (Moses)], but when you fear for him, then cast him into the river and fear not, nor grieve. Verily! We shall bring him back to you, and shall make him one of (Our) Messengers." ﴿

[ Al-Qasas, 7 ]

Who are addressed by these words? To whom is this story told?  We are addressed in this story since it is told to us. Who moved that box in the sea? Allah, Sublime and Exalted be He, did. Who drove it straight to Fir'aun's (Pharaoh's) palace? Who stopped it by a tree branch? Who inspired Fir'aun's wife to come to the seashore to find that box? Who did all that? Allah did. In another story, Yunus PBUH found himself in the darkness of the belly of a whale inside  the dark sea in the dark night. Those were three dark things (the belly, the darkness of the night and the darkness of the bottom of the sea), so in this situation, what are the odds of surviving? They are not even one in a billion.

﴾ But he cried through the darkness (saying): La ilaha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah)], Glorified (and Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers."* So We answered his call, and delivered him from the distress. ﴿

[  Al-Anbiya', 87-88 ]

The story ends, but Allah makes it a law:

﴾ And thus We do deliver the believers (who believe in the Oneness of Allah, abstain from evil and work righteousness). ﴿

[ Al-Anbiya', 88 ]

Fearing Allah and being patient are the only ways for us to gain victory:

Fir'aun with all his military gigantic strength and with the grudge he bore, and after he followed Musa PBUH and the believers, the latter were trapped between him and the sea, so what were the odds of their survival? They were almost zero.

﴾ The companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken."* [Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me."  ﴿

[ Ash-Shu'ara', 61-62 ]

Dear brothers, we are in dire need of putting our trust in Allah, given the bitter truth is a thousand times better than the comfortable delusion. If we fear our Lord, and  we remain patient, those two elements will be our path to victory. On the other hand, if we sin, and we are persistent in sinning, these deeds  will lead us to our doom. The current situation of Muslims breaks the heart. Beware of being persistent in sinning, instead you should fear Allah Alone and remain patient on that, for it is the only path to victory.  Allah says:

﴾ Say (to the disbelievers): "Tell me, if Allah took away your hearing and your sight, and sealed up your hearts, who is there - an ilah (a god) other than Allah who could restore them to you?" See how variously We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), yet they turn aside.﴿

[ Al-An'am, 46 ]

They turn away from Haqq (the truth). How many the Divine lessons are, but how few the people who learn their lesson are! In these hard times we are having, when our enemies are plotting against us not only to weaken but also to uproot us, we need to do certain things.
