Radio sermons (59): s1- Universality of Islam Versus Globalization of the West, s2. Benifits of Wheat Bran

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Islam's universality versus modern globalization:

Dear brother, Arabs and Muslims alike, the topic of my talk today is: Islam's universality versus modern globalization.
Universality of Islam denotes that Islam has never been restricted to Arabs, and the Qur'an has never been meant to address the Quraish only. From the very first, the Qur'an referred to close relatives of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to the Quraish, to the entire Arab world, as well as to all mankind, its call revolving around one principle and asking to aim at one purpose, which is to worship Allah sincerely and to abandon worshiping creatures in order to worship their Lord.
In fact, this is the gist of all the messages brought by all the Prophets:

((And We did not send any Messenger before you (O Muhammad) but We inspired him (saying): La ilaha illa Ana [none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah)], so worship Me (Alone and none else)." ))

[Al-Anbiya’, 25]

The Deen of Islam is not a declaration of independence of Arabs nor is it a message restricted to them. Rather than that, it is a message which addresses all mankind, the entire world since
Allah Most High is not the Lord of Arabs alone or those who embraced Islam; Allah is the Lord of all the Worlds.
Allah has meant for this Deen to bring all mankind back to Him, to uproot their worship of creatures together with their adherence to man-made laws, and to replace all that with the worship of the Creator of all of them. It makes clear that worship is meant for Allah only and that whoever tries to address other than Allah in their worship will be cast out of Islam, regardless of their making pretense of this act being part of the Deen. According to the Prophet’s definition, to follow is to worship, as he said about some mushrikeen (those who associate partners with Allah):

((Truly, they prohibited them what was permitted, and they made licit to them what was forbidden. They were followed and therefore worshipped.))

[Ahmad and Tirmizi on the authority of Udai bin Hatim]

Before the battle of Qadissiya, Mugheerah bin Shu’bah was asked by Rustam, Commander of the Persian army, about the reason for his coming to the land of Persia. He answered:
"Allah has sent us to deliver you from worshipping the creation and to lead you to the worship of its Creator; and to deliver you from the constriction of this world by leading you to the vastness of the After Life, and from the oppression of religions to the justice of Islam."

The Quran affirms that Allah is the Lord of the Worlds:

This fact is clearly stated in numerous ayaat of the Noble Qur'an and reflected in the sunnah, behaviour of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Here are some examples:

(("It (this Qur'an) is only a Reminder for all the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns).))

[Saad, 87]

And Allah Most High also says:

((Verily, this (the Qur'an) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). ))

[At-Takwir, 27]

 And He says:

((And We have sent you (O Muhammad) not but as a mercy for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). ))

[Al-Anbiya’, 107]

 And:

((Verily, the first House (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah (Makkah), full of blessing, and a guidance for Al-'AZamin (the mankind and jinns). ))

[Aal-‘Imran, 96]

 And:

((And no reward you (O Muhammad) ask of them (those who deny your Prophethood) for it, it(the Qur'an) is no less than a Reminder and an advice unto the 'Alamin (men and jinns). ))

[Yusuf, 104]

 And:

((Blessed be He Who sent down the criterion (of right and wrong, i.e. this Qur'an) to His slave (Muhammad) that he may be a warner to the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns).))

[Al-Furqan, 1]

 And:

((And We have not sent you (O Muhammad) except as a giver of glad tidings and a warner to all mankind, but most of men know not.))

[Saba’, 28]

How globalization manifests itself:

The media have aggressively promoted the concept of globalization, which in many ways seems to be nothing more than the modern expression of the age-old tendency towards domination and the power of an unjust force -a constantly recurring aspect of mankind's history.
In some ways, the phenomenon of globalization can be compared to gold-plated handcuffs. That is to say, lurking behind the false mask of attractive consumerism and shiny slogans promoting justice, democracy, freedom, global peace, peaceful co-existence and human rights are moral emptiness and lifestyles devoid of values. Hence, it is nothing more than the old poison in a new flask.
The alleged globalization phenomenon is characterized by general merging of ways and blurring of distinctions among different cultures and civilizations. In many ways, it promotes western domination in various fields, including politics, economics, mass media and societal values in general, thereby paving the way for the dominating western world to capture and control the wealth of other nations, paralyzing, in the process, their national capabilities and weakening other nations’ inherent identities and the characteristics of their founding civilizations.
In addition, the globalization trend seems to be intent on converting small, local markets throughout the world into massive consumer markets, enabling western-based companies, eager to satisfy consumer demands, to get richer and richer.
Today, in many countries in the eastern hemisphere, we are witnessing the harsh effects of globalization. As countries in the East embrace western customs, fashion and lifestyles, their core value systems are beginning to erode. Conflicting values inherent in the western character collide with traditional eastern values, creating chaos and confusion. Lost in the midst of two competing forces, the East’s new generation finds itself thrust into a world where the proliferation of drug abuse, organized crime and dysfunctional families are commonplace, at the same time that sound religious and spiritual values continue to lose ground.
The western world has learnt their lesson throughout history, and, thus, is using their striking force under the new disguise of delicacy, which is nothing but that of a woman less provocative and of lower profile, yet more effective in weakening the ability to resist and more fatal to the spirit of confrontation and death diffidence.
Historically, cultural domination was attained by force. Today, the same goal is achieved through globalization, which is a much more subtle tactic, seducing its targets to value and desire materialistic wealth and endless consumerism. Unlike in the past, there is no opposing force. Rather, the weaker nations readily acquiesce and willingly choose to follow the path and to be part of the game. Ultimately, the success of the mission will depend largely on the level of attraction and amount of seduction that these forces can illicit from sh3er.
The current problem doesn’t lie in the principle of globalization itself but rather in its nature, structure and the attributes of current globalization patterns which are dominated by western mentality. The favoring of monopolies is accelerating the trend towards domination and so do double standards that combine western power-based conflict with more collegial approaches that promote a spirit of partnership and encourage free and fair competition.
Another troubling reality is that often the western mentality focuses on generating profits at any cost, even at the cost of human souls.

Between Islam's universality and western globalization:

It is important to make the difference between the basis of universality of Islam and western globalization. The former is based on the laws dictated by Allah, that is, spiritual and religious deterrents encompassed within a mission of love, mercy and justice for all mankind. In contrast, western globalization is directed by humans. It is a means to achieve domination by following the commands of select masters at all costs, even that of the wealth and blood of one’s brother.
Islamic universality aims to turn the world into a unified universal village where humans have the right to choose and where justice and charity prevail. It seeks to promote an environment in which mankind can experience mercy, justice and peaceful coexistence.
In contrast, modern globalization is turning the world into a unified global jungle, in which the strong devour the weak. It promotes the conditions under which the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Striving to achieve universality through a just, civilized mission does not pose a problem. However, when the goal is motivated by a will to dominate and is founded on principles of greed, selfishness and extortion, problems ensue. This, then, leads to the erosion of high morals and sound ethics and values, reducing individuals to the role of chess pawns being ‘used’ by the more powerful to achieve the goals that they specify.
Muslims offer the world a pioneering, civilized approach to achieving universality and unity of purpose. It is an approach based on justice, mercy and coexistence as long as our Deen is not fought and we are not hindered from our right to convey our message to sh3er. Since our message is the seal of previous messages, callers to Islam shouldn’t be restrained from their right to spread their call all over the world, to make the truth well-grounded, and to raise high the flag of righteousness within the following rule:

((There is no compulsion in religion ))

[Al-Baqarah, 256]

Muslims are conveying their message in the shade of the Divine Umbrella, under which the rights of both followers and dissidents are reserved, and in order to spread mercy world-wide, in which the oppressed withdraw from tyranny, greed, and selfishness to find room under the arc of Islam, which facilitates the journey through the whirls of conflicts, helping one to anchor in the safe harbor of the Hereafter.

The destiny of globalization will end like previous civilizations:

Today’s globalization has no religious or value-based core. It is this wildness and lack of discipline which harbors within it the seeds of failure because injustice simply never prevails nor lasts.
The Noble Qur'an mentions frequently the nations and civilizations that once thrived and then perished. Allah Most High says:

((Did you (O Muhammad ()) not see (thought) how your Lord dealt with 'Ad (people)? Who were very tall like lofty pillars, The like of which were not created in the land? And (with) Thamud (people), who cut (hewed) out rocks in the valley (to make dwellings)? And (with) Fir'aun (Pharaoh), who had pegs (who used to torture men by binding them to pegs)? Who did transgress beyond bounds in the lands (in the disobedience of Allah). And made therein much mischief. So your Lord poured on them different kinds of severe torment. Verily, your Lord is Ever Watchful (over them).))

[Al-Fajr, 6-14]

 And He says:

((And Nuh's (Noah) people, when they denied the Messengers We drowned them, and We made them as a sign for mankind. And We have prepared a painful torment for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc). And (also) 'Ad and Thamud, and the dwellers of Ar-Rass, and many generations in between. And for each of them We put forward examples (as proofs and lessons, etc.), and each (of them) We brought to utter ruin (because of their disbelief and evil deeds). ))

[Al-Furqan, 37-39]

 And also:

((And 'Ad and Thamud (people)! And indeed (their destruction) is clearly apparent to you from their (ruined) dwellings. Shaitan (Satan) made their deeds fair-seeming to them, and turned them away from the (Right) Path, though they were intelligent. And (We destroyed also) Qarun (Korah), Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and Haman. And indeed Musa (Moses) came to them with clear Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but they were arrogant in the land, yet they could not outstrip Us (escape Our punishment). So We punished each (of them) for his sins, of them were some on whom We sent Hasiban (a violent wind with shower of stones) [as the people of Lout (Lot)], and of them were some who were overtaken by As-Saihah [torment - awful cry, etc. (as Thamud or Shu'aib's people)], and of them were some whom We caused the earth to swallow [as Qarun (Korah)], and of them were some whom We drowned [as the people of Nuh (Noah), or Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his people]. It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged themselves. ))

[Al-Ankabut, 38-40]

Quoting from the President’s speech about globalization:

A wise man from Rome once said as he contemplated the ruins of Rome: "The first man who contributed to the downfall of the Roman Empire was the one who started giving Romans spoils and plunders."
This is because he was the one who stimulated Romans' appetite to plunder and seek domination. In effect, he made the Shaytan of selfishness erupt from under the Roman skin.
Napoleon said: "Empires always die of indigestion for they devour too much land and too many nations."
The President referred to globalization and the new world order in his speech at the Islamic summit held in Dawhah in the following way:
“Globalization is a system of one country or a few countries, which lets all the rest of the world swim along with them. Some might make it to the surface with great difficulty, where they are expected to hold on tightly by continuously showing their good intentions, obedience and commitment. However, even though they might be able to fulfill those conditions, they will be always found guilty and repentance for their sins will be exacted from them, while the rest of the world will be deep below for indefinite period of time. All the nations that walk along with them and follow their interests are considered democratic and just, and everything they do is for the welfare of their people, for the sake of human civilization and of what they call "human rights". So we shouldn't be surprised at their having elaborated a list of human values, against which all other nations' values were checked, much in the same way as we check exchange rates.”
He also pointed to the aggressive attack of the powers of oppression and tyranny against Islam. He said:
"Islam, a Deen based on mercy, ethics and love has been twisted by media to look like a religion of killing and fanaticism. The propaganda machine is so powerful that the minute problems begin to surface anywhere in the world; the first to be blamed is Islam, even if there is not a single Muslim living in the area. The same forces which have declared war on terror are waging war against Islam, smearing its reputation and accusing it of extremism, following the example set by Israel."
The most crucial thing to do nowadays is to revive the power of confrontation of our nation in order to face these hurricanes, to restore our capabilities for believing and struggling, and to well-manage these resources in order to safeguard our identity and carry on the march of civilization.

The concept of victory:

One of the greatest fallacies prevailing among Muslims is the concept of victory, this being the reason why they stand on different grounds and follow variable stances when faced with all the current affairs of the Islamic world.
For some, victory is to achieve social, economic, political and military purposes at which the believers are aiming; and victory takes place, according to them, when those purposes have been fulfilled. Otherwise, it is a defeat. This is a short-sighted attitude, indulging in tangible reckonings and disregarding all other elements.
Some sh3er assume that victory is a Divine gift which Allah Most High bestows on whom He wills of his servants, disregarding thus all the previous conditions and preparations through which victory is achieved. This is yet another misconception because it goes against the Divine laws ruling the Universe:

((It will not be in accordance with your desires (Muslims), nor those of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians))

[Al-Nisa’, 123]

 And Allah Most High says:

((And make ready against them all you can of power.))

[Al-Anfal, 60]

The question to be asked is: Where is Allah’s promise of help when tyranny takes over and injustice thrives during the battle between the believers and their enemies, leading to oppression and corruption?
The answer to this question is that there are two kinds of triumph -the initial and the actual one.

Types of victory:

1- Initial victory:

The initial type of victory takes place when a Muslim makes every effort to carry out Allah’s orders and stay away from His prohibitions under all kinds of conditions, in all places and at all times, and within his best abilities. In other words, when he strives to follow Allah’s orders instead of being tardy, defends principles instead of being inactive, and is involved in all incidents in the Islamic nation instead of being isolated, only then does he deserve the primary victory.
Enough triumph for a Muslim it is to carry the burden of the Divine Message in order to convey it to sh3er, although Allah is the One in charge of guiding them.
Enough triumph for a Muslim it is to strive in order to mend the defaults of his society, although Allah is the One Who controls this mending.
Enough triumph for a Muslim it is to resist tyranny, although defeating it is in Allah’s Hands.
Enough triumph for a Muslim it is to struggle for the recovery of his occupied land and despoiled natural resources, although the recovery is within Allah’s Decreed.
Enough triumph for a Muslim it is to perform jihad (striving in Allah’s Cause) in order to raise high the Word of Allah’s Deen and to put an end to all kinds of conflicts, although ending conflicts and making Truth rule lies in the Hands of Allah the Almighty.
The great thing about the initial victory is that it takes place whenever a Muslim moves towards it, regardless of the outcome and the results following this movement.
The second great thing is that it is related to the individual will and is achievable as it is within every Muslim's ability to fulfill it. Every Muslim has the capacity to avoid defeat and every Muslim can achieve it even if he is confronted with all the assault forces of the enemies of Islam, armed to the teeth. Allah Most High says:

((Say: "Do you wait for us (anything) except one of the two best things (martyrdom or victory); while we await for you either that Allah will afflict you with a punishment from Himself or at our hands. So wait, we too are waiting with you."))

[At-Taubah, 52]

2- Actual victory:

The actual victory is the visible triumph achieved by Muslims in the world of reality, within the limits of striving to raise high Allah’s Word, and in order to gain the upper hand.
Hence, this kind of victory is accomplished by Muslims when they achieve a real gain while struggling in Allah’s Cause, or when they reach a purpose they have been aiming at. In this case, both good outcomes are achieved –the initial and the actual one.
Nevertheless, the actual victory depends on two conditions, one of which is having prepared for it and the second one is Divine help (seeking Allah’s help to triumph).
This is exactly what the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did in his struggle against the pre-Islamic forces, and this is what we need to do in our struggle with the contemporary pre-Islamic forces.
Preparations require putting all Muslim potential on full alert and organizing their human, tangible, and spiritual forces in order to fill their hearts with energy, faith, steadiness, and determination. It goes without saying that this kind of preparation urges them to give, to be strong, to be more effective by being sincere to Allah the Almighty, and to put all the trust in Him.
 Allah Most High says:

(( And make ready against them all you can of power))

[Al-Anfal, 60]

If only Muslims knew the full implications of this ayah and its precise interpretation, they would learn all about informatics and communications, as both are elements of power.
They would learn physics, chemistry, mathematics and astronomy, as they are elements of power.
They would learn psychology, sociology, and education, as they are elements of power.
They would learn zoology, botany and geology, as they are elements of power.
They would learn genetics and all kinds of sciences in which the western world excels and by which they control the world, having the upper hand all over and enforcing their will, culture, and globalization.
It is recommended for all Muslims to seek what is in their heads and leave behind what is in their hearts, as civilization is common property of all humanity and is like honey gathered all over the world by generations of mankind.
Is it rational to stop eating honey on account of having been stung by a bee?

Sources of Muslims’ power:

Detecting falsehood, the ability to uncover it, being tolerant while putting it down, facing its plots and obstinacy, and believing beyond doubt in its extinction –these are the foundations of Muslim's power. Allah Most High says:

((Surely! Batil is ever bound to vanish." ))

[Al-Isra’, 81]

 And He says:

(( Indeed, they planned their plot, and their plot was with Allah, though their plot was a great (one, still) it would never be able to remove the mountains (real mountains or the Islamic law) from their places (as it is of no importance) )

[Ibrahim, 46]

Thus, rejecting falsehood, exposing its lies, and removing its masks are conditions for belief in Allah. Allah the Almighty says:

((Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold ))

[Al-Baqarah, 256]

When Allah knows the sincere intentions of believers who are struggling in His Cause, the firmness of their belief, the liberty within their souls, the yearning to meet their Creator and the longing for His Bliss, He will grant them Divine help they need, strike the forces of evil and bestow His Triumph on the believers:

((and (as for) the believers it was incumbent upon Us to help (them). ))

[Ar-Rum, 47]

And Allah the Most High says:

((Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection),))

[Ghafir, 51]

 And:

((Allah has full knowledge of your enemies, and Allah is Sufficient as a Wali (Protector), and Allah is Sufficient as a Helper. ))

[An-Nisa’, 45]

Wisdom behind the delay of Muslims’ victory:

In virtue of a profound wisdom which belongs only to Allah, the victory of the believing and the tyrannized might be slow. This slowness might be beyond our comprehension. It might be due to the overwhelming goodness stored for them, in order to examine their belief and to distinguish those who have been tolerant in their suffering, loyal to their promises, and honest in their sacrifice.
This slowness might be also meant to put triumph in the hands of the cream of the believers in order to protect the expected victory, which can’t be achieved without shedding blood, laying down lives, and being able to undertake the responsibility of establishing the truth, spreading justice, enjoining the freedom of worship, planting goodness among people, librating them from tyrants, and putting an end to all conflicts and corruption on earth.

((So make no haste against them; We only count out to them a (limited) number (of the days of the life of this world and delay their term so that they may increase in evil and sins).))

[Maryam, 84]

 And Allah Most High says:

((Verily, Fir'aun (Pharaoh) exalted himself in the land and made its people sects, weakening (oppressing) a group (i.e. Children of Israel) among them, killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the Mufsidun (i.e. those who commit great sins and crimes, oppressors, tyrants, etc.). And We wished to do a favour to those who were weak (and oppressed) in the land, and to make them rulers and to make them the inheritors, And to establish them in the land, and We let Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Haman and their hosts receive from them that which they feared.))

[Al-Qasas, 4-6]

The story of Abdullah bin Salam:

Dear brother in the occupied land (Palestine)! Listen to the story of the great companion Abdullah bin Salam, as narrated by him:
When I heard of the appearance of a Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, I began to make enquiries about his name, his genealogy, his characteristics, his time and place, and I began to compare this information with what our books contain about it.
On account of these enquiries I became convinced of the authenticity of his prophethood and I affirmed the truth of his mission. However, I concealed my conclusions from the Jews. I held my tongue.
Then came the day when the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, left Mekka and headed for Yathrib. Having reached it, he stopped at Quba. A man came rushing into the city, calling out to people and announcing the arrival of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
At that moment, I was at the top of a palm tree doing some work. My aunt, Khalidah bint Al-Harith, was sitting under the tree. On hearing the news, I shouted: "Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!"
When my aunt heard me, she admonished me: "May Allah frustrate you... By Allah, if you had heard that Musa was coming, you would not have been more enthusiastic."
"O aunt, by Allah, he is really the brother of Moses and follows his religion. He has been sent with the same mission as Musa." She was silent for a while and then said: "Is he the Prophet about whom you spoke to us, who would be sent to confirm the truth preached by previous (Prophets) and complete the message of his Lord?"
 "Yes," I replied.
Without any delay or hesitation, I went out to meet the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. I saw crowds of people at his door. I moved about in the crowds until I got close to him.
The first words I heard him say were: "O people! Spread peace... Share food... Pray during the night while people (normally) sleep... and you will enter Paradise in peace."
I looked at him closely. I scrutinized him and was convinced that his face was not that of an impostor. I went closer to him and made the declaration of faith that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, turned to me and asked: "What is your name?" "Al-Husayn ibn Salam," I replied. "Your name will be from now on Abdullah ibn Salam," he said (giving me a new name), and I accepted it. "Abdullah ibn Salam it shall be. By Him who has sent you with the Truth, I do not wish to have another name after this day."
I returned home and introduced Islam to my wife, my children and the rest of my household. They all accepted Islam, including my aunt Khalidah, who was then an old lady.
However, I advised them then to conceal our Islam from the Jews until I gave them permission. They agreed.
I then went back to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah! The Jews are a people inclined to slander and falsehood. I want you to invite their most prominent men to meet you. (During the meeting however), you should keep me concealed from them in one of your rooms. Ask them then about my status among them before they find out of my acceptance of Islam. Then invite them to Islam. Were to know that I have become a Muslim, they would denounce me and accuse me of everything base and slander me."
The Prophet directed me to one of his rooms and invited the prominent Jewish personalities to visit him. He introduced Islam to them and urged them to have faith in Allah. They began to dispute and argue with him about the Truth. When he realized that they were not inclined to accept Islam, he put the question to them:
"What is the status of Al-Husayn ibn Salam among you?"
"He is our sayyid (leader) and the son of our sayyid. He is our rabbi and our alim (scholar), the son of our rabbi and alim."
"If you came to know that he has accepted Islam, would you also accept it?" asked the Prophet.
"Allah forbid! He would not accept Islam. May Allah protect him from accepting Islam," they said, horrified.
At this point I came out in full view of them and announced: "O assembly of Jews! Be conscious of Allah and accept what Muhammad has brought. By Allah, you certainly know that he is His Messenger and you can find prophecies about him and mention of his name and characteristics in your Torah. I for my part declare that he is the Messenger of Allah. I have faith in him and believe that he is true. I know him."
"You are a liar," they shouted. "By Allah, you are evil and ignorant, the son of an evil and ignorant person." And they continued to heap every conceivable abuse on me.
I said: "O Messenger of Allah, did not I tell you that the Jews are a people inclined to slander and falsehood?"

Qur'an and sunnah shedding light on the way to victory:

I have put hereby between the hands of our brother in the occupied land (Palestine) the clear facts derived from the Qur'an, the sunnah, and the life of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, by which our knowledge of the path to victory and endurance is enlightened, and from which I hope that we can benefit, with the help of Allah.

I visited the graves and asked them
Where is the noble and where is the slave?
Where is he who humiliated sh3er by his might?
And where is he who overpowered sh3er by his force?
They all ceased to exist, hence no tellers.
And they are all dead, hence no tales to be told.
O inquirer of people who passed away!
Did not you take a lesson from their death?
People came to life and got buried in dust.
And death erases all of their beauty.
* * *

Dear brother, call yourselves to account before you are called to do so and weigh your deeds before they are weighed, and you should know that the Angel of Death has been reaching sh3er and will reach us soon, so pay heed. The clever one is he who upbraids himself and works for what comes after death; and the weak one is he who follows his desires and lives on wishful thinking.

Second sermon:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds! I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, the Ally of the pious; and I bear witness that Sayyidina Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is His servant and messenger, the one with noble conduct. O Allah! Grant your blessings and peace to Muhammad, the Faithful and the Honest, and may Allah bless his Family and Companions.

The benefits of wheat bran:

Dear believers, dear listeners, let us move to a topic of scientific interest:
Not only has Allah created wheat to be wholefood for human race, but He has also given this plant the ability to grow everywhere on earth. It can grow on plains as well as in the mountains and valleys. It can also grow in cold climate as well as in hot or mild one. So at every point in time there will always be wheat that is growing and fructifying.
It was in Allah’s Plan for this grain to constitute natural kind of man's nutrition. Its husk makes up 9 percent of wheat’s weight, and is commonly called bran. Its grain has a thin layer which consists of nitric substance in 3 percent of its weight, and contains the embryonic center which germinates when the grain is exposed to soil's humidity. The chaff is only 4 percent of wheat’s weight, and the rest is pure starch. Now, what do we usually do?
We usually separate the wheat grain from its husk. In other words, we end up eating pure starch and throw away the bran which contains, in addition to what we mentioned before, vitamin B1, B2, B6, BB, and several sh3er, as well as phosphoric substance which is considered as nourishment for the brain and the nerves. The bran contains also iron which strengthens blood and helps our lungs produce oxygen and, furthermore, calcium which helps build up the bones and fortifies the teeth. There is also silicon which gives power and shine to our hair, and there is iodine which balances the function of the thyroid gland which controls moods and makes the body calm and tranquil. It also contains such elements as potassium, sodium, and magnesium, which are involved in building up tissues and stimulating digestive secretions.
What we do, thus, is sift the wheat from the husk, and throw the latter for animals to eat, and we consume the pure starch which is considered by some doctors as good glow for the stomach, by which description they mean that it is useless. Hence, Allah Most High has meant for this grain to be eaten as a whole (including its husk), so that we can benefit from all the ingredients stored by Him in its inside.
By boiling wheat chaff in water one obtains a cure for cough and common cold, a calming drug for the intestine, a balsam for the peptic ulcer, a cure for dysentery, a skin nutrient as well as protection against skin diseases, on top of which comes eczema.
When we eat our food as we are supposed to, that is according to Allah’s Will, we secure health for our bodies by protecting them from all kinds of diseases.

Sahel ibn Sa’ad was asked once if they had ever seen fine white flour, to which he answered: “We have never seen that till after the Prophet’s death, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." Then he was asked: "Didn’t you have sieves at the time of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace? He said: “We have never seen a sieve till after the Prophet’s death, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." Then he was asked: "How were you able to eat barley without sifting it?" He answered: "We used to blow air on it, and then make dough from the rest.”

[Ibn Majah, on the authority of Abul-Aziz Bin Abi Hazem]

It has been transmitted to us that the first innovation Muslims did after the Prophet’s death, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was refining flour.

Supplication:

O Allah! Raise high the honor of Islam and of Muslims; put down and humiliate shirk and the mushrikeen; destroy your enemies and the enemies of this Deen; grant security to this country and to the rest of Islamic countries; bestow triumph on those who support this Deen and frustrate those who frustrate Your believing servants; grant us glorious victory; bestow on us prompt triumph; and give us certainty that You are the only One who grants victory.
O Allah! Help us control our desires so that we deserve victory over our enemies, because You said (so), and what You say is the truth:

(( Verily, Allah will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.))

[Al-Haj, 40]

O Allah! Grant victory to our brother in the occupied land (Palestine) over Your enemies and those of the Deen; make its enemies oppress one another; make their plotting to be their destruction, and defeat them, O Lord of the Worlds!
Our Lord! Forgive our sins and over-indulgence; pour forth on us patience and make us victorious over the disbelievers. O Allah! Raise high the Word of Truth and of the Deen, and grant victory to Islam and glory to Muslims.
O Allah! Guide to goodness those who intended goodness to Islam and Muslims, and defeat those who intended otherwise, and make them example to sh3er.
O Allah! Guide the rulers of Muslims in the entire Islamic world to what pleases You, unite them, and let them walk together on the path of goodness, truth and righteousness.
