In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Errors women should avoid:
Dear brothers,
I was performing Umrah two years ago. At the hotel, I found a written story with a note that said: 'Read the story and bring it back tomorrow.' When I read it, I was deeply moved.
It's about a young girl from a respectful, religiously committed family. Her father worked as a teacher. One day, she received a disturbing phone call from a young man, but she hung up immediately. He continued trying to call her several more times.
After a while, the same young man began stalking her on her way to school. He tried to flirt with her using sweet words, but she ignored him completely. However, he persisted day after day until eventually she responded to him.
When she responded he convinced her to come with him to a house where he raped her and videotaped everything.
He rented out this video for money until it eventually reached her family, at which point she fled from home.
Then, in a moment of grudge, she killed him. She is now serving time in a prison in Cairo. She wrote this story that shows how a single word or a smile can sometimes lead to tragic consequences.
I ask fathers and mothers to guide their daughters to prevent them from falling into similar tragedies. I seek refuge in Allah that such problem would take place in a religious family. However, raising awareness about such situations is essential.
A religiously committed father should be watchful over his daughters and alert them to the potential dangers posed by some men, who may turn into predators if a woman accepts a sweat word from them or gives them a special look.
These measures a father takes might be as simple as putting curtains in front of the balcony to maintain the privacy of his household.
I hope every parent pays close attention to his/her daughters and sons, so he/she can sleep without worries.
