What is the connection between sinning and being deprived of the sweetness of closeness?
Simply, every sin is a veil between you and Allah the Almighty.
﴾Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day.﴿
I dare anyone to feel closeness to Allah the Almighty after violating Allah's Prohibitions; he will never be able to.
﴾Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day.﴿
When you take what does not belong to you, for example, and you offer your Salah and recite the Quran in a very loud voice in your Salah intoning its words and taking into consideration Tajweed rules, you will still be disconnected from Allah, because the direct connection with Allah entails righteousness.
