Question: I would like to know why when performing Hajj or Umrah men have to shave their heads while women only cut a little of their hairs?
Answer: This is a worship that we do adhering to Allah and His messenger’s orders to prove our love to them. Moreover, it expresses going out of the rituals as cutting hair is prohibited during Ihram. It is sunna for men to shave their heads while women only can cut a bit of their hair because hair is ornament to them.
