Ramadan Hadiths- (28): I'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

(The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to observe I'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan.)

[Agreed upon]

I'tikaf is offered in Ramadan and after Ramadan. It means that you engage in private devotion with your Lord for a period of time during which you recite the Quran, you make Munajat (talk secretly) to Al-Wahid (The One) Ad-Dayyan (The Judge), you meditate, you remember Allah the Almighty or you make Du'a (supplicate). Hence, dear brothers, let us start I'tikaf in Ramadan, so that it may become something we do all year round.

Whenever you engage yourself in private devotion with Allah to recite Quran, to remember Him, to weep, to supplicated, to ask for His forgiveness or to repent to Him is but I'tikaf, and there is a great deal of goodness in it.
