(There would (first) be temptation for a person in regard to his family, his property, his own self, his children, his neighbors (and the sins committed in their connection) would be expiated by fasting)

Fating expiates the sins of Sa'em (the one who observes Siyaam.) Any errors, sins and shortcomings that are committed by you regarding your family, money, self, children or neighbors are atoned by Siyaam. It is enough of an honor for the one who observes Siyaam that angels send their prayers on him according to the following Hadith:

(Allah Almighty and His Angels send prayers on those who  have light meals before daybreak as preparation for Siyaam (Suhoor).)
