In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Camouflage is a defensive mechanism used by butterflies to protect themselves:

We are still discussing camouflage, which is a very important and interesting topic. A white spider on the tip of the flower is waiting for its prey. The butterfly is in the middle of the flower, and the spider whose color is the same color  as the flower sees it. Sometimes, the butterfly itself lands on the spider thinking that it is part of the flower.

Butterflies have a special status among the creatures that are good at camouflage in nature. Some types of butterflies have large eyes on their wings. These  fake eyes are the most important defensive tool for butterflies  when facing any danger, such as being face to face with a hungry bird looking for food. In such a case, the butterfly just opens its wings completely to appear to the bird as a big creature. This is a living example of this tactic.

In fact, when the butterfly is on a branch of a tree, it becomes an easy prey to the bird, which can eat it at once, but the minute it opens its wings, showing the two big eyes on them to the bird, the latter thinks how dangerous it is, and so it flies away  . With these two big eyes drawn on its wings, the butterfly seems to be an owl, which is considered an enemy to the bird. The butterfly knows instinctively the enemy of its enemy.

If we look closely at the beautiful drawings on its wings, we will notice how clear the eyes are. The eyes have eyelashes, and the drawing of the nose is located just under them. Let alone, you can see the iris, and the light reflected on the pupil making it  twinkle. Thus, we can see the nose, the ears, the shadows above the eyes, the shape of the eyes, the pupil, and even the reflected sparkle in the pupil, giving an image of a large animal. It is a small butterfly, but with these drawings on its wings, it looks like the enemy of its enemy.

A detailed miraculous camouflage of the butterfly:

In this camouflage, there is an important detail; the fiercest enemies of the butterflies are two species  , such as the dragonflies and the small birds, which feed on them. Oddly enough, the owl is the enemy of these two species, and herein lies the amazing miracle. The image drawn on the wings of the butterflies is often an owl, which means that the butterfly protects itself by imitating the figure of the enemy of its enemies, since the small birds fear the owl so much. However, the butterfly undoubtedly does not know that the owl is the enemy of its enemy, and it can never draw its image on its wings in an amazing and detailed manner. Furthermore, the butterfly does not have the ability to plan such a tactic. Nevertheless, the image is there for certain. Hence, this drawing is not there by chance, but rather, it has been created for a particular purpose. Whose design is this? Such a design cannot be drawn randomly as the evolutionists have claimed.

In general, each design refers to its designer, and this design on the wings of the butterfly shows us the exquisite Creation of Allah the Almighty.

In fact, these things can only be explained by the Omnipotence Allah, Exalted and Sublime be He.

Dear Sir, man is a human being, who has a reason and thought, but even if he has a PhD, he is sometimes unable to perform things the butterflies do. Thus, I repeatedly remind you of the fact mentioned in the following Ayah:

(Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?"* [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright.")

[Ta-Ha, 49-50]

In another ayah, Allah the Almighty says:

(He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names . All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.)

[Al-Hashr, 24]

Changing colors is a kind of camouflage of the butterfly:

In addition to the false eyes on its wings, the butterfly has another bewildered ability to camouflage. It seems that the butterfly can   blend itself with the colors of the bushes it sits on.  The same colors of the bushes can be produced on its body through a delicate organic system.  Well, definitely it cannot do all these wonderful tricks and expose the beautiful colors  on its own. The way the butterflies are designed is a rigorous proof of the Greatness of Allah the Almighty. Allah the Almighty says:

(He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names . All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.)

[Al-Hashr, 24]

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of Creations
